Seems like a fantastic bargian - Ordered mine 5 minutes ago.
I cannot see a catch, it is a 11G Wireless ADSL Modem router with firewall. The only minor point is that the PC card is not the same brand (Officeconnect) but thats no biggie

You can also select a USB wireless adapter instead of the PC card if you prefer.
Have seen mixed reviews of this router although that applies to most wireless router brands. Looks like a good deal, price wise this compares with the D-link bundle from PC World although that one has crept back up to £59.99.0 -
i have had various , and the netgear G i had a range that didnt even cover the house.
I recently purchased a Belkin pre n MIMO kit from item http://www.withandwithoutwires.com/default.aspx
wow, what a difference.
This is for cable/dsl only tho.
Not as cheap, but then you get what you pay for.0 -

Im not sure what price 3com stuff is normally, but ive just priced up a wireless system for a customer, and on ebuyer you can buy a buffalo wireless router for 35quid and a usb wireless dongle (or pcicard) is about 15quid. So, £50 all in.
A collegue of mine brought exactly the same router from ebuyer earlier in the year and is very please with its range/performance.0 -

I have the the same router/card I bought from dabs.com a few months back for £68 and its a good router. I did notice that I cant get access as far away as the garden but thats not a big problem as even though we all like like the idea of brwsing the web while in the garden the number of time you would actually want to do that is negligeable.0 -

Hi, I can't see this on ebuyer and I've never found an ADSL wireless router for under 50 quid, can you provide a model number or a link?0 -

Think this is the one...
ebuyer code number: 86569
Buffalo AirStation 54 Mbps Wireless Cable/DSL Router
£33.
Got some excellent reviews. Even people who are not IT literate managed to set it up easily.0 -

thanks, but that's not the same thing as it doesn't incorporate an adsl modem.0 -

ah, of course, i was only looking for a router for my customer, not a modem router, that explains it.
sorry!0 -

I have now installed two of these for various people, as long as you update the firmware to the latest version, they are great value for money. Range is good. They run a little hot but so do most wireless devices.
I would recommend.
