That guy is out of order, especially if he owes you money for the job you're doing for him! I personally wouldn't finish the job until he paid up in full, but then I am really stubborn with stuff like that!
I second that. Write him a nice letter clearly outlining how much money he owes and that you feel "unable to do any further work on his behalf until his account is no longer in arrears". Stuff it in an envelope with copy invoices and stick it to him!26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

As above!
what a complete !!!!!!!
as for the rest of the work break it into chunks, it'll be much easier to deal with than looking at everything you need to do at once!
tackle a small chunk each day and you'll be getting through it before you know it!
Could you go to a library or something to do it so it feels like you're actually 'going out' to work rather than staying at home and being tempted by the stimulating (and sometimes frankly disgusting) conversation on here?
going on here after doing a chunk of work could be your daily reward!!!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Sorry to change the subject but something has just happened.
While the 2nd Man from the gas company was here (I was actually pleased he was here at the time) one of my clients just turned up on my doorstep and was really off with my about his accounts and how long it has taken me to get his year end ready for the accountant to do the Ltd Co year end.
I get messed around something awful by this client and he owes me £100's in late payments.
He wasnt threatening me but how I didnt burst into tears I do not know. I have told him I will get them done by next week.
I feel so sick with worry as I know I have put things off and now things are really starting to catch up with me.
I made the decision to close down the business completely but I still have loads of unfinished accounts lying around and I honestly cannot face doing them. I am now starting to worry about my teaching too and at the moment feel like I am not up to any sort of work at all.
Oh honey.... sounds like he's got a major problem! imagine coming to your door!! !!!!!! is too nice a word!
I would email him something along the lines of "as your payment account is not actually up to date, you're bloody lucky i'm still even working on your shiit mate, please settle outstanding account as soon as possible, and i wil endeavour to finish your year end, as soon as possible"
you may wish to paraphrase a little...
And if you can fit the word !!!!!! in there somewhere, then even better....I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
Good shout Maz. I would write down what youve got outstanding and give each one a realistic target date. Whether or not you fook this client off I dont know, as he owes you money. I would do his accounts then only release them to him upon receipt of total payment. Try not to get too down about it Lou xThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. Thanks Len, but i think Luc's one is probably more succinct!I second that. GOOD NEWS!!!!
Hubbles has just had the results of his review at work. He got graded as a 4 (5 is the best but apparently anythinghigher than a three is like hen's teeth.) and his counsellor let slip that his promotion is being seriously considered although isn't yet definite. So cross everything you've got for him!!
