It's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.

Sorry to change the subject but something has just happened.

While the 2nd Man from the gas company was here (I was actually pleased he was here at the time) one of my clients just turned up on my doorstep and was really off with my about his accounts and how long it has taken me to get his year end ready for the accountant to do the Ltd Co year end.

I get messed around something awful by this client and he owes me £100's in late payments.

He wasnt threatening me but how I didnt burst into tears I do not know. I have told him I will get them done by next week.

I feel so sick with worry as I know I have put things off and now things are really starting to catch up with me.

I made the decision to close down the business completely but I still have loads of unfinished accounts lying around and I honestly cannot face doing them. I am now starting to worry about my teaching too and at the moment feel like I am not up to any sort of work at all.
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.

Thanks BB, that's a shame, was looking forward to setting something up (I'm a very organisational type of person, except with my finances...until now ;) ).

The readitswapit site looks good though........I'll be on there later if anyone wants to come and swap books!!!! I have three boxes of Chick Lit and a couple of boxes of thrillers!

    oooh, Louse :( what a !!!!!! head ........

maybe write a list of all the outstanding work you have (even if it is a bit eeeek) and put them in some kind of order and look to do a bit each day. Might help seeing it in chunks rather than a big mountain of horribleness.

I'd do what BB has suggested and get a list together. Then prioritise it as well. It should make you feel better just by facing it and knowing what's there and you can cross it off the list as you do it.

That guy is out of order, especially if he owes you money for the job you're doing for him! I personally wouldn't finish the job until he paid up in full, but then I am really stubborn with stuff like that!

Right I'm off home, will be back online in about half hour!

:rotfl: Are you sure we weren't separated at birth? I was going to write pretty much exactly the same suggestion - make a list, break it down, set targets and communicate to each client when they can expect the outstanding work which means you'll need to stick to your plan
