Anyway I came back to ask,did you get a voucher for the free Peter Sidwell bread book?,it retails at £14.99...so basicaly taking that into account the Bm cost £55.99...even better value when you look at it that way.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Thanks for the link - have printed off the form. I understand why they need the original receipt, but I'm a bit worried about sending it away.0 -
cooking-mama wrote: »Have you tasted your bread yet Craftyscholar ?,realy hope its nice,we've recently decorated our kitchen and the white Panny would "go" better than the silver Kenwood now(maybe i could Ebay it,i only paid £60 odds anyway, due to Argos vouchers and a refund thingy)

Tasted my first loaf today made with oil instead of butter - absolutely delicious. Certainly do it again.0

SD256 is now £55.99 delivered at electrical123
Fantastic buy!0 -
nooo! don't get rid of your Kenwood, I remember all the hassle you had getting it with the big sticker problem
have both of them
OK...im allowed to blame you anyway...right?
Well,I did it,I went and bought the panasonic,:oand yes i will keep the 2,(I am such a kitchen gadget addict...i need therapy,)
they are both a variation of a theme and can compliment each other...a loaf in one and a cake in the other perhaps:rotfl:
Didnt get home until after 9,so not used it yet, have read through the manual and im planning a 1hr 55min rapid bake just for starters...then maybe one of the Italian types to go with our salmon pasta bake dinner,...im quite amazed at how much less sugar the panasonic recipes have compared to the Kenwood,i think salt and yeast are similar amounts, but sugar is definately reduced.
im gonna be like a wean with a new toy tomorrow morning.;)
Craftyscholar,im thinking about photocopying my receipt before sending and maybe using recorded delivery...worth a try, hope they have plenty of the books left.
jazzy-B,ive just noticed the £55.99 one over on Grabbit,aw well, for me personaly i prefer to get heavy items from shops(just in case they need returned, had issues with an ideal world halogen oven that was too expensive to return),that is a fantastic saving too,is electrical123 a well known company?,ive never heard of them myself, sorry craftyscholar, hope your not too disappointed with the Currys deal now.Slimming World..Wk1,..STS,..Wk2,..-2LB,..Wk3,..-3.5lb,..Wk4,..-2.5,..Wk5,..-1/2lb,Wk6,..STS,..Wk7,..-1lb.

sounds like you'll have great fundo try the Italian bread next, it's one of my favourites, but make sure it's cooled before trying to cut it unless you have an electric knife or want free-form mega doorsteps!
I use the Panny recipes in the Kenwood & vice versa, & still use the odd one from my old MR recipe book, but you should see the amount of sugar in some of those
any recipe with too much for my taste I'll halve to start with, then cut it down some more if it still produces a decent loaf
happy baking0 -

I've always put only half the recommended sugar, without any problems (now up half the salt as well, but only recently).
But my machine is older, with a slightly different dosage.0 -
