Kim_ftb - I contacted Experian yesterday and they said theyd dispute it with 3G and mark it urgent. Phoned them this morning and they had a message on their system from 3G saying that Experian could delete that from my file. Experian said it would probably take 24 hours and to check tomorrow morning and any probs to give them a ring back. Ive been to the solicitors today who say its an absolute disgrace that thats on my file. Once this is all sorted and hopefully I get the funding I will be making a complaint to 3G as its totally unacceptable and still could ruin my chances if funding runs out all because a person at 3G cant do their job properly!

Maybe this may give you some comfort. They have started issuing letters to some applicants who applied in early May so you should not wait more than a couple week before it filtered through to your name.

Hi Presido, I have phoned them again today to ask what is happening with regards to my self (18 weeks since registering) again the answers were not forthcoming other than to say that another batch of letters is due to be sent out shortly. I was also told that there are 6000 people on the waiting list for London, but could get no information as to where I stand on that list.

Would you be able to advise as to how I can chase this up and find out exactly what has happened to my application?

they definitely have me on the system.
  • Just had out letter back after our joint application was referred and it has been declined, stating reference credit reference search... Going to order the reports and find out what is going on... Pure gutted!!!

Kriss, this exactly the problem I had. If you think your reference is completely fine then its more than likely something is on there that shouldnt be. I was in floods on Friday however im hoping today has been a turn around and things might turn out ok afterall. You need to get on and order your report asap.

Just a thought, but although the co-op have agreed my mortgage over the phone and done all the credit checks etc. can they still turn it down? Was that the actual checks, or just a preliminary one? Seemed to go through very quickly! They're sending me documents to sign etc. but I haven't actually proved anything, just told them figures.

    To recap:
    1) You registered in March 2009 and PFP confirmed that your name was registered in March 2009.
    2) You are living in London.

If both conditions above are sastified you do have a case and must insist to speak to a senior adviser or manager to tell you why you are yet to receive a letter.

Would think it would only be if your pay slips bank statements etc. don't match what you told them...

It is perfectly normal in the Estate Agencies world. Some Estate Agents will even register interest until it is certain money has been transferred to the Vendor's account.

Mortgage now agreed for the price I offered, estate agents have stopped any viewings but said they still register interest in case my sale falls through. Is this normal?

Am excited and a little bit scared :D

Had our offer accepted on the house today, but our mortgage application was referred - have to wait til Friday, possibly Monday for a report.

I've checked my Experian report as a result and I defaulted on a loan payment in 2004, and theres another one in 2006 - my husband is the only earner in our house as I am now a stay at home Mum but it's still a joint application - I'll feel terrible if this is why we're turned down for the mortgage

Just have to wait and see.

Also does anyone know if this is a scheme that will be repeated next year? I've seen one reference on here that it will be but can't find info elsewhere?
