  • When I used to work for DSG (which owns Currys), there is a button on the system which the sales assistant can press which says "No Marketing" (or similar). Ask the assistant to press that button when giving your details and you won't receive anything in the post.

    simply my point was that the OP had pointed out whilst still in the shop that he had been over charged. The refund wasn't a 'normal' one where the customer leaves the store then returns at a later time, he was still standing in the store so therefor i dont really agree with giving details for something that wasn't his fault

    Yes but the till doesnt know that.

    Also the OP wasnt charged incorrectly, just the ticket on the item was wrong. Yes by law they can only charge you the lower price however the cashier didnt charge you more on purpose.

    Plus before entering your pin or handing over cash you should check the amount you are paying.
