Didn't know that, most people I knew with them at school were 14-15!
Depends on the appliance but if you start treatment at this age they will still be wearing an orthodontic appliance at 14 or 15 as minimum treatment time is approx 2 years.
It's the ones who have to undergo EOT (Extra Oral Traction) as Willi Wonka needed as a boy in the new film that i feel sorry for.
