we've been to the dentist this morning and all had clear check ups:D
thought the car was going to konk out though, the engine block light was on and it was displaying 'anti pollution faulty' on the comp display screen. It was lacking power and very juddery too so like a loony, I thought sod it, let's take it out for a spin!

That reminds me Linda I need to make checkup appointments for the boys.
DS1 had a brace fitted when he was only 11, which I thought was a bit too young but was convinved by my dentist it would be OK. After nearly 2 years of treatment he had the most perfect filmstar teeth but they have all started to move back out of shape again since treatment stopped.
I really hope that he wont have to go throught the whole process again:rolleyes:But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
Hmmm, did he wear a 'retainer' just at night time for 18 months after his treatment finished?

...Linda xx
He was given one but was told after only six months that he didnt need to use it anymore and they took it from him. Its a really big shame for him to see his teeth moving out of shape. But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.0 -
11 seems very young for a fixed brace. Then again I had mine from 17-20, still got the retainer now, I'm quite attached to it :rotfl:
Teeth are always expected to move a little, but you/he should have been made aware of this before treatment startedNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -
Definitely take him back to the dentist!
he will have had some more teeth come through at around the age of 12 which may have jiggled some of the others back out of alignment.
was he treated by the family dentist or referred to an Orthodontist?

12 - 13 is around the average age unless all the adult dentition are fully erupted early or the teeth are at risk of trauma if left until the average age.
