Helping The Mods

I know that you can report a post but I wonder if people who have been on the site over a certain amount of time or over a certain amount of posts could click a box within a thread that will highlight it if the thread is spam or self advertising so that Mods know to check that thread and deal with it as needed.

Nice idea but that would assume that we monitor the forum and read every thread.

As the forum's so big we can only work on a report-an-abuse system and the forum team can't look into the issue if they don't have the link to the thread that's being reported.

Hiya Andrea.

When I said highlighted the thread I didn't mean that you had to read every thread but if you say went into the Techie page then if a thread had been highlighted i.e. was highlighted yellow then you'd know there was a problem.
This may stop multiple report posts.
