On the subject of school uniform I have found M & S to be one of the best, due to washing well, and being of general high quality. I wish the same could be said of George shoes from Asda:eek:. I had pair of boys shoes from there 6 weeks ago, and in that time the stiching has come loose, the soles have started to seperate and look as though they were a year old instead! Asda are good for some some things, but not boys schools shoes. Beware.A woman is like a tea bag. You never know how strong she is until she gets into hot water.:D0

I love next school unform washes well and still looks great. However, I won't be buying from there this year. I usually get 15% off deal from them but have not been selected to receive it this year. I asked if they plan any offers on uniform this year and was told that they was no plan to have any offers on uniform. I politely informed them that this year I will buy else where for school uniform! I have had a couple of things from M&S in the past and I found their cheaper ranger of boys trousers to be rubbish. Hold them up to the light and you can see through them! However I have also had a pair of their more expensive ones and they have been great. Their jumpers were fine too. I want a uniform that will last, can anyone reccomend any others or is M&S my best option?0

Regarding Asda uniform deal-I just bought 2 packs of boys white polo shirts when on the 2 packs for £3 deal-brill I thought as my 3 boys age 6,7 and 9 are still wearing ones I bought last September! as such good quality-bit dissappointed to find that they are a lot lighterweight this time!!!! Still excellent value at 75p a t-shirt!!!! plus I get 10% off as I work at Asda!!!!!0

M&S are not doing the 3 for 2 on uniforms at the moment. However they are currently doing 50% off blazers.0

I got the basics - trousers and shirts when they were on offer at Asda and have been putting off getting the most expensive item - blazer - until the last possible moment. My kids' school have been sneaky and instead of having a badge which could be sewn onto any black blazer, allowing you to buy from M&S etc.. These are no longer available and you have to buy blazers from designated shops as the badge is already embroidered onto the front pocket - bl**dy cheeky if you ask me.
However, I been into town today and have found a school blazer in near enough perfect condition for the princely sum of £2! So I'm very happy as I have made a massive saving.0 -
