HI Tupac662,
Congratulations on making the decision and keep the faith. You are among friends and all here offer our support.0 -
Hi Tupac. Welcome to the thread and well done on putting k9 on the pc.
If your bet comes in get your OH to collect it. Dont go in or near the bookies from now on. Pass your finances over to her and carry as little money as possible.
These steps will all help to keep you on the straight and narrow.
Copngratulations on the baby news. Won't it be nice to have a child who never sees you gamble xLast bet : 26th Oct 2006:j Debt free 25th Feb 2008:j Living "my" dream:T0 -
welcome tupac and well done for downloading the software, its a long hard road, you'll go through lots of emotions, pain, heartache, guilt, withdrawel, questioning why you do it, not understanding, frustration and others.
youve got something in your life that is reason enough to stop. i never want my children to see me gambling in the same way i was exposed to it.
1 day at a time, take the advice from the posters here, we're all your friends and want to help each other get through it. When the times right you may want to think about getting yourself excluded from your local bookies, that shuts another door.
keep posting and well done0 -

day 228, and staying clean, despite the fact that the stress level at work and at home has been through the roof. Sheer bloody mindedness and stubborness has stopped me...as well as the fear of losing everything I have worked for and need in my life. All those out there in MSE land, thanks for your support. I haven't written in my diary for a while which I plan to sort out! Keep the faith and stay strong people0

Hi all
I gambled today. My story is probably the same as everyone elses. Gambled small amounts, won. Then lost. Gambled large amounts...won big. Handled it for a while. Then gambled it all again thinking I could replicate the winning. Didn't win.
So, i have about £950 on a cc, but i have £1k of savings, so will pay that off. But now i really have to be strong. Is their any free gambling blocking software?
And well done for doing 228 days William. I managed to go the whole of September without gambling. Then earlier this week i put £500 on a horse...didnt win. Just put £200 on a horse...didnt win. I will just throw my laptop if i do it again.
Have a good day everone0
