Hi Lilvixen. well done for sorting out your overdraft.

Have you installed K9? There is one thing i can promise you. If you dont, you will gamble. Maybe not this month or even this year, but you will eventually go back as you have done recently after a few years break.

K9 is free to install and will protect you taking away the temptation. Why wouldnt a problem gambler want the temptation taken away? Only one reason x

well done guys.... it does get easier but it takes time. You get so used to it being part of your everyday life. Take back control of your life.
It is an emotional time. Lean on friends and family for support. Have a read of the stories on here and on the GA website so you can see you aren't alone in this.

Have a great day all... .Almost the weekend :D

  • Another day done, im starting to get nervous, pay day is on friday.
That is always my biggest test, and usually (not this time!!) the one i fail. I have a full on week at uni first so that should keep me occupied!!!

Hi all, How are we all doing?
I've had a tough week mentally. Started to think that maybe i dont need to go to GA anymore....I sent a text out to 10 people i know from my meetings asking for some help and every single one of them called me back and reminded me that i'd tried to stop on my own before and couldn't.
GA was the only place that made me stop.....They are right. I need my meetings, even if i find them a little boring sometimes....

You never know, the one i miss might be a really special one and i'd have missed it just because i couldnt be bothered to go.

So grateful to the meetings and had started to take them for granted. Glad i have so many friends there to support me rather than judge me when i think like that

Have a graet day everyone. Just for today, i will not gamble x

Some really inspiring tales on here.

Just to give you some heart - a young guy I work with is celebrating this week as he makes his last payment to a loan - £1,100 a month for over 3 years. That's his gambling debts all paid, and he hasn't gambled since starting at GA. Life is great for him.

It CAN be done. Good luck everyone, and, just for today, don't gamble.

    gg x
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
