When the firm raised a query they mentioned about how my children were behaving. (They were fine but one had a screaming fit for a minute or two) I personally do not see that this has anything to do with my assignment but will not visit the pub again as I feel that there may be some hostility there. I have done assignments for the same firm before and it was favourable. funny they didn't seem to object to that.
So the pub identified you as their mystery shopper to RE?Never mash cheese: it bends the fork.0 -

I thought our identities were meant to be secret? Are you saying they tell the shop or pub who we are? Surely that means you can never shop the same place twice because they will know you are a mystery shopper.0 -
Hi think I must be going nuts, but wasn't there a thread on here that listed jobs that were available on the mystery shopping websites?
Has it been removed? or was I imagining it?
Thanks

Well when i spoke to the person at RE the person at the pub mentioned that I had children with me. I had to put the time I had food on the questionnaire so if they forward this to the staff member involved it may not take a lot to work out who the MS'er is. Especially if they are they only people in there.
Well I certainly won't be MS'ing them again but with there comments I don't really want to eat there anyhow. Would wonder what they would do to the food. I was just being honest which is what MS is.
I did not even mark them that low either but never mind you win some...January Grocery 11/3740 -

Not sure you would be permitted to shop the pub again anyway, if the pub worked out you were their mystery shopper. The behaviour of your children is irrelevant (unless they were not permitted to go in the brief). You are rating the pub, they aren't rating you as a customer.Never mash cheese: it bends the fork.0 -
I understand that I will not be able to go again as they now know it is me. It would have been very obvious if they are told what time a person is there and you are the only person. I had to go then as there was football on later.
I believe that my children were reasonably well behaved when I was there. I would not have done the assignment if I thought that the would interfere with me being able to do the assignment.
I do feel that the lady was wrong giving her opinion on my children as you mention auntypog I am rating them not the other way round ( I did have someone else with me so when I needed to go the bar etc i had my eyes on the relevant area etc)
I had already been paid this money so don't believe they knew I was a MS before the questionnaire was sent.January Grocery 11/3740 -

It certainly is difficult to retain anonymity when you are the only customer. It sounds as if the pub was trying to muddy the waters in the hope that they would get a re-shop. If you have been paid you clearly did nothing wrong. Your child wasn't the first to have a screaming fit in a pub and won't be the last. It's the pub's job to deal with all comers. No doubt the pub was just hoping to get their score improved and it sounds like they failed. Imagine a waiter saying: I was unable to perform my job to a satisfactory standard today due to there being a noisy child in the vacinity. Not likely. I think it was unprofessional of RE to pass the pub's comments back to you.
I have known establishments make up lies to attempt to get a score changed. In the case of simply having run out of a menu item one place stated: we offered you such and such but you refused to wait the five minutes for it to be ready.Never mash cheese: it bends the fork.0 -
I have been asked by Gap and RE at times "were you dressed ...." and even if it was me I always answered no! I submit objective reports and it is not me being assessed.0

I think Roxy will have to be the Casino MS teacher. I too think the Casino jobs are very popular but I think as you have to register, its fair to everyone that you can only do them once. Did you get to eat at the casino as well.
I don't know how people gamble but I can imagine myself betting with RE's money !
RM think 33 is too old - OMG, best work for them while i can, because of course once you are over 33, you couldn't possible eat, drink, buy clothes:rotfl: what do they think people do once they are mid 30s/40s !
Yes you did have to eat and it was lovelyI'm a veggie so sometimes the choice can be crap but we had a lovely meal.
It is really nice gambling with someone else's money lol but still I couldn't put down £5 in one goAnd people were betting with a lot more
