That was supposed to be an angel in the previous post!
OMG it doesn't rain but it pours. Please send my best wishes to HP and tell her I'm wishing her all the best.
I thought it was my computer that was playing up with the smileys. Feel better now I know it's not just me for a change lol0 -
Hi LTD & Scaredy Cat - I had the same message from AA. This is after I 'kindly' suggested that they ought to post scenarios with their Excel jobs so shoppers could read about them before they accepted them... hmmmm!
Have done about 60 assignments for all the other MS companies over the last couple of months so I'm not worried.
Couldn't help responding to AA with a bit of a sarky 'wow, thanks that's brilliant' email back to them.
Yes I know, very childish but it made me feel better!
They booted you for suggesting that they put scenarios on excel sheets?
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
They seem to be a bit arrogant these days.0 -

Same goes for Storecheckers (you asked about the other day), a lack of detailed scenario with job offers I mean (by no means the arrogance or strike-you-off-for-no-reason attitude!!)
They often just email 'can you do a job in x town?', or sometimes ask if you can do 'x pet store name', giving no details of scenarios, purchase requirements, reimbursements etc. etc.
I agree knowing details is an important consideration in whether or not you accept a job.0 -
Yeah I think so.. I haven't done any jobs for them yet as only just joined. Nevermind.
Interestingly when I next got an Excel sheet from them, they did put the scenarios on it, so they must have thought it was a good idea....
but gave me the boot anyway!0 -
Spare a thought for Hollypear, who's just had her holiday flights cancelled, as they were with the company that have just gone bust! I know it's affecting thousands of people, plus all those who've lost their jobs too.
That's the last thing she needed - today especially, as she's been to her step-brothers funeral this morning.
Her computer is also kaput, so she won't have access to anything for a while.
Fingers crossed she gets another flight sorted by next weekend!
I'll speak to her again later, to find out if she's managed to sort anything out yet.
Sending kindly thoughts to HP! Bless her:A - I hope the funeral was bearable.
And- I hope she will be reimbursed!
On another topic - has anyone just had a really odd email from Bare? Something about can they do anything to help as I have never done an assignment for them - uh hello!! Check your database! I have done quite a few jobs - though not so many these days as I can't be bothered to wait two months to know if its been allocated.:mad:0 -
Can you believe it - just had an e-mail from BARE to say "Hi" "Just checking how come you've not done any work for us yet". Had to reply to say "Thanks for the e-mail but actually I did work for you last month so was hoping to get paid soon!!!!" Hmmm can see payment is not imminent then lol
Advice needed as well if possible. Looking to buy either a laptop/notebook or an iphone so I can keep track of work whilst I'm out and about and input assignment etc. Any idea what would be best - what does everyone else do? My mobile phone is pants and costs a fortune to check e-mails anyway.0 -

You won't be waiting long Elle - one of them will be along in a minute to tell you about their own personal love story with an iPhone!:p:rotfl:0 -

I just got myself an Asus EEEPC.. nice and light to carry around.. sometimes you can be lucky enough to connect to a free WiFi connection. Not the kind of machine you want to stare at for hours and hours, but for filling in the relevant forms online, it's perfect. Suits my mystery shopping down to the ground..0 -
As much as I love my iPhone I don't enter reports on it as it really is a little small for that and also doesn't support flash! I do check it for emails and allocate myself assignments as well as use it for notes & pics that I email myself so I can do my report later really quickly on my laptop.
And a question on the casino visits - do you have to keep an eye on your spend as you go and enter all the details when you fill in the report? Or are you just given xx money to use? Poor HollyPear. Send her my best wishes too.
And a question - can I order a large italian pizza or not????? Got to order one in a couple of hours and DH has said we could have a large and share. The cheek of it lol! I know I can order large with crusty whatnots but don't fancy that. Plain large italian would be great. But can't afford for Gap to say I've ordered the wrong base.......
Cheers
I did one of these as a delivery a couple of weeks ago, seeing as they begged me to do so.
I took the job notes to say you have to order a med pizza with either deep or thin base, or you can order a stuffed crust which only come in a large size, but it is at your own expense the extra £1.50 or so it costs.
As for the normal pizzas, as I say I took it to read med only.
Been out most of the afternoon, hence the late reply.
