It sounds costly to me - transmission expert still up??
Ooh no! Spacers, sound like such a small thing too.

most transmission jobs will be expensive as it will be fairly labour intensive and probably need to be removed from the car to do the job properly.
not sure about spacers, havent worked on a auto box for ages, nevermind a new auto like this, but when i did regularly it was clutch packs that needed replacing, dont know about spacers, the clutch pack had a ferodo lining and would wear out,but took lots of abuse and high temperatures with loads of miles before needing replaced....work permit granted!0 -
The car has 90k on the clock. It's really fine otherwise - apart from being slightly sluggish when pulling away. It gets serviced regularly too (at the VW dealers though - not quite as expensive as Audi!)0

Scotland.
We'll probably leave it until the next service. I can live with it (dh doesn't drive it much), as long as I won't be doing some unrepairable damage to the car.0 -
