Thanks Gemmzie!!! Funny, I read your diary yesterday and thinking the same thing - I don't know your full situation but you're doing fab at keeping the family in check. Got interrupted before posting as usual though.

Thanks MM! Those virtual shiny pens Hypno sent over helped.

Wonder if she's got any virtual £70 cheques lying around...

Not all the DDs have come out today but enough to colour in another 13 squares. Also included in that is child benefit which we've paid straight to the HSBC card which has gone down by £440 today to £2801.06. We'll be overdrawn later in the month (within the allowed limit so no charges other than a couple of quid interest) but like Hypno I think it's better to keep charging at the debts than have money sitting in the bank - that was where we went wrong last year as we kept keeping money aside 'just in case' and then spending it.

Thanks to all who've been asking for the itsyourview link. I think I should have said (to keep all correct and proper in the MSE way) that you can go direct - I think it's just itsyourview.com, I'm only trying to squeeze a few quid out of it with the referral links! Anyone else looking to join and add a free £2 to the panda-pot can either PM me or just shout a hello on here and I'll forward it.

Anyone with a Woolworths Clearance store near them - go for a visit, especially if you've got kids! Everything is half price (half the lowest reduced clearance price) and as well as the obligitory pile of useless crap there's some really good stuff. I went to the one in Sheffield tonight and got an egg poacher frying pan (been meaning to get one for ages!) £2, several bits of clothes ranging 50p - £3 and a few bits of Christmas presents. There were LOADS of kids clothes reduced to silly prices. So not a NSD by any means but £21 got me masses of stuff (but do I really need more stuff?)

No, don't think it's a clearance outlet. The one in Scunny is though, I saw the deal there the other day but didn't get a chance to look as I had the kids with me. I'm thinking on popping over there in the next few days as I didn't get much of a look before - give us a shout if you want a lift!

:p Good job there's not one in Donny then, isn't it? :rotfl:

I don't really NEED anything in particular either so shouldn't really look...but it's so cheap! And it saves money in the long run as it's kids clothes and pressies and the likes that I'd have to buy at full price if I don't already have them stored away somewhere. Will resist all 'stuff' temptations.
