    Hi Panda

You've done great to get to get to breast feeding for 6 months! And if he's wanting to move on, then stopping is all you can do. He'll be on pureed foods in no time, that will make things cheaper again.

Hope you managed to get some sleep.

Was just about to have a rant, but Greg's just started screaming so I'll go and sort him out and hopefully have calmed down by the time I get back. Today is not a good day in the bamboo grove.

Ok, I'm not quite so mad now. To summarise, car had MOT & service today and it's going to cost £900. But we've discovered that a lot of that is covered by warranty so not as bad as first thought.

A bit of sad/shocking news last night - my DH's sister's been with her bloke for about 15 years and they've got 3 early-teen kids together, but his 23 year old son from his previous marriage died at the weekend. Nobody knows why. He went to Brighton to see some friends, fell asleep, wouldn't wake up, friends called an ambulance and he was pronounced dead. The police suspect there may be drugs involved, which would be an awful shame as he wasn't that sort of lad but we won't know until the post-mortem. His dad is absolutely distraught, as is sis-in-law and the kids. As always, it takes something like that to put the petty stuff into perspective.

On a brighter note, I won a £5 Play voucher on the Quidclans MSE draw. Not quite up to MickeyMouse comping standards, but I'm chuffed with it.

Plumber finished in the bathroom today, so we just need to do a bit of joinery, the rest of the tiling, line and paint a wall, fit the lights, and add mirror, cabinets etc. The end is in sight, and we've got a loo that works (but no seat on it yet!). Had to shell out £800 though. A bit steep but he did a lot of work as it was a right mess before. Laura, you'll have to come see the difference - it's fab!
  • Glad there is some relief due on the car bill. Sorry to hear of your SILs stepsons death. You are right its things like this that put everyday problems into perspective.
