  • .As I said I phoned twice. I got him to repeat it twice, that the one being sold in Argos at £109.99 would be honored. He even said that it had more in than the Amazon one and either would be ok. He did check with his manager and phoned me back. Phone customer services and talk to Steve. I have now bought the Argos one.

As far as I can see, the only difference between the two is a Pokemon box and a link cable.

Anyone know exactly what a Pokemon Box is? Is it just a storage thing or a case type thing for the Gamecube itself ???

Not sure if the Argos one is worth the extra money. :-/

    Quote from the letter received
"we will happily refund the difference between our original
£32.99 price and your final purchase price (up to a maximum of the recommended retail price of £89.99)"

therefore £57.00 looks to be the maximum they will refund

The retailer who I thought had the most rights (because there was no picture) is the one that ends up coughing up!

Wherease the retailers who c0cked up are holding tight.

    Guess which two retailers I ordered from and which one I didn't  ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hey ho -- I can take it ... now where's the number of my Local MP / Watchdog / Trading Standards / President Bush etc. etc. ad infintum

    That's it in a nutshell.

I thought Tesco took money from some. If so, they (Tesco) should be following Virgin's lead!
