I got my 'no stock' e-mail at 12.50am titled 'Virgin Megastores Order Update '
Still showing as ordered on the Tesco site.
I bet you I've gone and jinxed myself now. ::)0 -
Well Im still looking good
Order date: 18 Nov 2004, 11:35pm
Had no contact since I had confirmation, and its still showing in my orders.0 -
The cancellations seem to be very randomly generated don't they! I wonder if they are only cancelling orders that are showing on the suppliers' database as several ordered to the same address? If the supplier is the same for Virgin, Tesco and Woolies then surely everyone would get a mail at roughly the same time otherwise?!? My tip is choose one site and book just one! Of course, my theory will probably turn out wrong but it doesn't hurt to guess.... 8)
[glow=red,2,300]I only ordered from Virgin and I only ordered one item, so bang goes your theory[/glow]

Surely the confirmation e-mail is the contract? The one they have just broken by cancelling? As below

How strange that 3 of you have had cancellation e-mails from Virgin and I just got one stating that the item is out of stock.
I'll keep checking to see if they send me a cancellation e-mail. ::)
i think virgin megastore only wanted to collect more new customer details. my order accepted & confirmed late at night, around 10pm. just this minute received order cancellation email (within 3 hours or so) saying supplier informed them...blah-blah-blah. 'doubt it if at this very odd time of the day, supplier still able to communicate with them. also product is still showing at their site, and can still be ordered. >:(0 -
