Our dog has used puppy training pads since we got her,and has had relatively few accidents at night.
She is now at the stage where she manages to control her bladder and bowel movements, until the morning time, when swmbo takes her out for her morning stroll, before she goes to work.
However we bought our first pack of puppy pads last week, for the first time in about a month.Argos do them.40 for under a tenner.RSPCA marked packs as well. That's my mutt in the picture above.0 -
Just to update everyone. We have now had 4 nights without poo/wee and she has been fine. We moved her evening walk forward and we just let her out in to the garden before we go to bed. We have ordered Arden Grange and will pick it up tomorrow. Fingers crossed we are making progress. Lets hope she keeps up the good work0

good luck, she will get there, it just takes a while.
I notice you say she is left out in a kennel in the garden during the day - please do be aware that a young pup left outside is at risk of being stolen, especially in the lead up to christmas.0 -
Glad to see you have some progress, now go and enjoy your pupLife is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?0

Isn't 7 weeks a little young to be away from the mother?0

when you say he has suddenly started doing it - how long have you had him?0

If your pup is only 7 weeks then he's very young and will probably take a while before you can trust that he's house trained. Have you tried going outside with him and praising him when he goes to the toilet? Perhaps with the weather being so cold at the moment he's rushing back inside with a full bladder! Maybe go outside and play with him for a while after he's been for a wee so that he can go again if he needs to. Tiny pups like him need to be taken outside every 30mins-1hr if you want to avoid any accidents.
It's a bit worrying though that your pup is so young, and could lead to problems in future as he hasn't had enough time with his mum and siblings to learn things like bite inhibition. You'll need to make sure you help him learn this.
