Wrote a long post and it disapeared never mind...So

Apparantley Ive been galavanting round the town dressed to kill looking well and should get my !!! back to work pronto or Im sacked if I dont return tommorow morning at 9.am.
The actual day he was referring to was last Saturday and it was the local MIND mental health charitys open day and bring and buy sale..he was really spitting at the mouth about how dare I waste his time with pretending to be ill.
Union rep told him that he was being recorded and that Bi Polar was not like a broken arm or amputation it wasnt a visible illness..he told the Union rep to shut her bloody gob she didnt know what she was talking about at which point we left with him throwing insults and foul language at me....silly man half the town heard him and a few came up to me and said if I needed a witness they would confirm what they saw and heard...union rep said leave it with her...shes fuming lol thank goodness I took her along.

I went to see my doctor after his tirade she gave me another sicknote for 26 weeks wait till he sees that one...I think hes going to have severe blood pressure probs..

I spoke to one of the mechanics who said that they have lost a lot business in the last 3 months because of his attitude to customers...bad thought entered my head...maybe I might be able to give him some free advice on going for Bankruptcy soon...horrible man.

Union rep said she will take my sicknote in and see if he does actually sack me tommorow...she thinks hes a looney tyrant idiot...phew least he showed his true colours...so I shall just let all that follow itself to a natural conclusion....silly man.

Apart from that twerp this morning its been a nice day so far..so Im off to do some kinda Delia concoction with a wok and a chicken breast. Im losing weight on this reduced food bill...but eating better and more healthily..I need to trim a fiver off my food bill so its over to the the Old Style Board later to mooch through the recipes and money saving tips.

I don't know you, but I am very proud of you. Yesterday your posts were very down and today, despite everything thats going on, you held your head high and refused to let them get you down. Well done. Not every day is like this during BR - some are like yesterday (got to be honest here!) but I think that with all of us, one of the biggest reliefs was actually making the final decision and knowing we had made it. Odd description, but when you have really made your mind up, you know what I mean!

Making the decision to go for Bankruptcy is one of the most empowering feelings Ive had...it may not work out as wonderfully as I hope but I will have done something and be able to move forward...and its cash only for me...no credit...if I have not got the money I do without till I have saved up for it and most likley appreciate it so much more as well..

Well I must leave this so addictive site and get my tea on..chicken chow mein and noodles made by my own fair hand for £2.10p thats for 2 folk. instead of £6.75 from local chinese shop..boy am I learning lol

Well guess what ....that dear kind boss of mine has made it official...as of 9 am this morning I am no longer required aka SACKED..the wording of his letter of was so warming...."I have put up with your imaginary illness and absence from work long enough and wish to tell you that you are dismissed forthwith with immediate effect." and then he went on to say that I was not entitled to holiday pay or payment in lieu of notice...what a jerk!!!
Im owed 4 weeks holiday money and a months notice by law.
He cited the reasons for my dismissal as an absence of more than 6 weeks and the expense of having to pay for cover for my absence..bloody tightwad.
The unions in there now flexing there muscle....I hope theygive him a good cuff round the lughole from me to.

So one more day towards Bankruptcy..cant wait..

Im not going to miss that job it was so stressful and some of the work practices bordered on bad..but Im not going to be dismissed with just a flick of a finger...I was a model employee who happened to be ill, and if 6 weeks is classed as a sackable offence then he can go work his admin himself it took him 4 months for me to apply for the job his dreadful reputation proceeds him .

hes just a b**t**d, the times he has had the other woman in the office crying and his language is foul never mind...I have rights and the union rep says they now have 4 official complaints against him and the 2 mechanics walked out this morning, so in effect he has skeleton staff, serves him damn well right too

I just wish I could have given him a good kick in the Pistachios before he sacked me ah well never mind.

Im thinking about going back to college and doing something, not sure what, so Im going to scout out a new career with no stress and do something I will enjoy instead of working for the money, sounds idealistic but hopefully achievable.
Bankruptcy is my first step to my new life..:p

Mmm. Just a thought here. If you were to take him to court/tribunal etc for unfair dismissal - which there is NO doubt whatsoever you will win (pillock he is), then check first that the OR won't want any compensation or how it may affect your benefits (union should be able to help with the benefit question!) I know ORs cannot touch compensation that is awarded due to injuries but I know not about other forms of compensation.

Personally with twits, I would go for it anyway out of spite to get my own back rather than monetary gain. And I would let HMRC know about anything genuinely incorrect. Same as Trading Standards......

And why not about college?? On certain benefits you can have the courses for free (but you still usually pay a nominal registration fee). Like you said - new life!!!

Just glad not to be associated with the twerp anymore, union reps got my sacking in hand...he also told the mechanics to get off the property this morning as well...I think my ex boss is the one with Bi Polar and not me
Working Tax Credits have now finally after 8 months agreed with me that I have not been entitled to any money from them from Jan 08...been a major uphill battle to get them to listen to me.AND the best part is that the overpayment is only £571..and they have said the rest will be writtten off because I had kept them informed all along:beer: :beer: :beer: ..now I can include the overpayment on my Bankruptcy petition on the 21st.

Now my Income Support can be adjusted to the correct amount ... phew !!! now my visit to the courts going to be better than expected.

Im still worried about the actual day but everyones posts Ive read have survived the day ...so shall I.

Well nasty ex bosses withstanding the futures looking ok....fingers crossed, toes as well..wheres me rabbits foot and lucky heather...

Morning

Not much to say today ..well so far...had ex boss (ex sounds lovley!!!) on phone this morning at 8am ranting about my union rep and saying he will not deal with any claims for unpaid money in lieu of notice, and that I was a nutter and ought to be put in the looney bin if I thought Id get the better of him...I love recordings I got every word on tape ooooh that man...think he will be getting done for harassment if he continues...so its me, 2 mechanics and the handyman sacked yesterday morning....his MOT part of garage is closed....oh dear wonder whos fault that is...

Another day passed and Bankruptcy day approaches, Im getting obsessive about checking my petition..I know its correct and all copies done,,its just the waiting now,,8 days to go and counting...

There was a piece in local evening paper about a rise in local unemployment and how local CAB are under great strain over folks debts and just general life problems...I dont see it getting any better in the near future..
A month ago there were a reasonable amount of jobs I could have applied for locally..now there thin on the ground....no matter how bad my situation gets nothing would ever tempt me back to my old job.. I was often humiliated and made to feel like a smelly thing on the end of the bosses shoe...my self respect wouldnt allow me to go back,,hes done me a massive favour in giving me the push..I would have liked him to have had a bit more decorum in the way he did it , but yes Im not going to cry over losing that particular job..

Right am off for another wander round the forum and see what fortunate souls have found there place of sanctuary on here
