He said he is off back to malaysia tonight and will be having discussions with the ceo that i met on weds over the next few days and then will be calling people to let them know the next steps....he said by the end of the week...

Exactly! I went to Switzerland for 6 months on a whim and ended up staying almost 3 years and it was the best time I've ever had just being myself and living for myself. And if I hadn't gone there I would probably never have decided to go back to uni so you really never can tell where its all going to take you.
Whatever happens with Malaysia I think the fact that you've actually gone through the process of applying for the job and mentally accepted that you want to go will make you much more confident in yourself for whatever happens next.
