Top tip...cleaning stuff...you'll be sick of me soon (I get these tips from the Old Style board)..

If you buy for example Mr Muscle kitchen cleaner in a trigger spray, pour half of it into another empty trigger spray and fill them up with water, you have two for the price of one. (Please be careful if you have young children which containers you use though, we don't want any child accidentally swallowing something they shouldn't).

Post an average weekly meal plan for yourself here or on the old style board, and we can help you reduce your monthly shopping bill, I promise we will, we could knock at least £50 without too effort.

try to stop caring about what other people think, I know my ex-MIL dies inside every time me & my son have a pyjama day but he loves it, we veg in front of TV watching various films .. he sees it as a real treat :)

I've never really cared about stains etc too much, he has 2 pairs of £2 jeans from Asda and about 5 t-shirts, figured he grows out of them so quick no point worrying if they get mega dirty :)

If people want to judge they can whip out their own purses/wallets and buy him more stuff :rotfl:

Do you know, I actually thought I was the only mother (and a bad one at that for doing it according to my Ex mother in law) who had pyjama days in teh school holidays! :rotfl:

So relieved to find I am not.

Oooppsss thought I better edit to add some constructive advice to my post.....

I have 3 very destructive (for clothes) kids and it is expensive keeping up but I have managed to get my yearly spend on clothes down to less than £100 for all 3. My secret is charity shops, ebay or closing down sales....I never pay full price but the items are mostly still brand new!

My only exceptions to this is shoes and underwear...although I still look for the bargains on ebay etc but they have to be brand spanking new.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I'll get you a link to the Old style board in a mo, Of course don't buy Mr Muscle, buy the supermarket brand in a trigger spray, its cheaper, I do, I could bore you all nite with my tips, you could end up going into labour before I've finished:D

P.s. I let my children play out in the back garden in there PJ's, I don't give a monkeys what people think of me, i have got passed caring, my children are clean, healthy and loved, you don't need to spend tons of money on them, all they need is quality time from either mum or dad and they are happy, my two children are 11 and 9 and today have sorted there rooms out to de clutter as they want to buy a Megasketcher, and I told them they would have to wait, they both came downstairs with a pile for E-Bay, my children know they do not get things for nothing and they certainly don't wear all the latest gear.
