Food/toiletry/ £300 - This is far far far too high - You should be able to reduce to £200 easily. Take a look at the Old Style Board for meal ideas.

Welcome to the board, I think you may have made an error in your SOA regarding the clothing budget, I don't see bankruptcy as your only option, please amend your soa and I will look at it again in a mo, I need to check on my son.

Hugs for you hun. It's tough enough on your own without these money worries.

Have you checked that you're getting all the benefits you are due?

And the childrens Dad? Where is he, and more importantly his contribution?

Other people will be along and will make their comments I'm sure (and probably wiser than mine anyway :rotfl: ) but it is very quiet on the boards at the moment and I didn't want you to feel ignored. :D

Ok, you needed £300 this month to spend on clothing, but not every month, the CCCS will not allow this if they suggest to you a Debt Management plan.

You can repay these debts back, you need to reduce your spending on the Sky, Mobile, Food by £100, clothing by £250 and thats almost £400 per month to use towards your debts, and of course when the new baby arrives you will be entitled to more benefit, do not buy new clothes for any of your children, try E-Bay, or the charity shops, I would personally buy them brand new shoes and underwear.

    You can do this.

Have you tried looking at Tesco/George Value ranges for kids clothes? I don't think I have spent £200 in a year for me and 1 child, so I am struggling to see how you can really not cut back on £2400 a year on clothes :undecided

I am not judging you on the clothes, we are not here to do that, we are here to help, alot of us on this board have children and we do not spend so much on clothes each month, I personally spend £20/25 per month on two children.

Grass stains....top tip alert....as soon as you notice it, take it off the child, and put neat washing up liquid on the stain and then wash it in the machine with the other things and it will be removed. Another tip, tomato ketchup, bolognese sauce etc which nothing shifts...simply wash in it in the machine and put it on the washing line with the stain facing the sun and I promise you within a few hours of sunshine, the stain will no longer be there.

Tesco is great for clothes and good prices too, but don't discount charity shops they can offer some great bargains, and if your children are out playing put them in old old clothes, it doesn't matter what anyone says they are out playing and children get dirty and they will damage there clothes.

Honestly, you do not need to be spending this kind of money on clothes.
