    yeah it's never appealed to me either, you'd have to be so organised, remembering to pay minimum payment and then transfer to another 0%deal in plenty of time, one mistake and you've lost any small profit you made .

  • Hmm if you put it in an account with a high interest rate like 6.5% interest with Capital one (though this will probably drop soon), the gross interest would be 5.2%...

    £1000/100 x 5.2% = £52 a year from £1000

    £52/12 months = £4.33 interest a month, plus it takes time for the money to transfer in and out so you'll lose a bit more interest.

    now I think about it, it's a lot of hassle for a few extra quid. Maybe if you could get a £20K limit (!!!) then it's worthwhile... I know some people on the stoozing board have £60K being stoozed!

    yeah that is what i worry about first of all i have to get a 0% card then i have to make sure i pay and on time! i might see if i have time next year how much i can borrow on 0%

    I've been looking at the houses board Jen, I want a house so badly. I keep thinking I'm going to have to live with my dad forever :(.

    I went round OH's mums for dinner, feel soo fat now i might have to go for a nap :p

    I know how you feel Nikki, i have been renting for 4 years but want my own home! Renting is pants, can't decorate, not allowed pets (not that i care!) and i am bored of this house, been here 3 years but its a bit too small. Hoping to buy early 2010.
    Now a SAHM trying to earn some spare pennies each month
