I will help in anyway I can Jen- usually the simplest displays are the most effective. Don't let it ruin your weekend.
Difficult to know what to suggest coz don't know what sort of thing it is but I'll give it a go,
For a start forget about sticking straight, photos on an angle always look better anyway. Title the board at the top, write on a long piece of card in one colour and then stick that to a contrasting colour bit of card, cut around leaving a inch or so around all edges, makes it stand out more . You can do the same with the photos, pick out a colour in the photos and use that colour card to back them with, stick on board at a jaunty angle! Do the same with the info about the photo, you can stick that next to or under the photo- with an arrow between if you're feeling adventurous!!
This might be nothing like you have to do but it's just a suggestion.0 -
thanks mm i might ingore her instructions and tell me work mate how i feel about it and inlist her help. i can print the photos do the captions etc and get her to help stick them on etc. the things that i hate most is she would love to do it she spent the morning doing the last one it looked great and she had fun doing it while i will get upset and frustrated doing it:j Proud mum to Jade age 10 years and Baby Ellie born Christmas Day:eek: with a broke heart

can you trust your workmate not to tell your boss you asked for help? Or is she the sort that needs to take credit for everything she does? If not I'd go for that, do as much as you can first, best advice (what I do for scrapbooking) is lay everything on the board first without sticking it so you can rearrange if needed and if you need anything straight use a ruler! I've got a lot of pages with wonky photos where I've tried to do it by eye!0

Jen don't think about it as a whole, try to break it down
What did you do over the summer? Have you photos etc to print out, then like you said add captions
Short paragraphs about things you did as well
One large picture in middle with lots of smaller ones around it? Or pick lost of medium sizes depending on how big a space you have to fill
Do the back ground with a nice bright colour such as yellow as it was summer
Nice big title using a different colour (blue)
I'm not all that creative but do the background first then just randomly blue tac lots of pictures up and work from there up adding the captions and information. Not all the pics have to add captions
I'll swap jobs with you for a week if you like and do it0 -
