............. walking back from buying my lunch, I found a fiver on the floor :T. There wasn't anyone nearby so I put it in my purse. Obviously if I'd seen it fall from someone I would have given it back to them (having thought about it for a few seconds
).
Also, I bought my lunch at a cheaper sandwich bar and resisted buying a coffee as I can get hot drinks from the machine at work, even if it tastes horrible. The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -
Poorbabe - it certainly does!
Now you can think about getting a flask to make a decent hot drink (or maybe take coffee/tea if hot water is free) and then may a packed lunch...
it all adds up!0 -

I do bring in a flask of coffee most mornings, I just need to reduce the amount as I'm up from a cuppa a morning (shop bought) to 2+ cups!
andan: Last year I found a tenner :j . Came in very hand that week, I'll tell you.
peb: Packed lunch is a regular now. Once or twice a week (if very lazy:o ) I'll hit the sandwich bar. Have to reduce it once a week for a treat when I get back from my holiday! The 365 Day 1p Challenge 2025. Member #420 -

HIya all, still at work (been one of those not quite get anything done days....grr)
So far have????
Done field work at lunchtime so technically got paid to walk my dogs and use the dept car - go me...
Taken in the 40p reduced milk - and been told to take the full amount of the the money tin (?!) so am up it seems 65p!!
Packed lunch - all good - eaten whilst working so I figured I got paid for not only walking my dogs, but eating my lunch...
lol....its the little things that keep me smiling.
Car needing brakes, so ordered online got discount and told man at garage will bring them in, he didn't seem to mind and I have saved myself some cash.
Can't drive vwdub over weekend, so I guess that saves me heaps of petrol.
When home will:
Pack up some more of house (am moving soonish) make a big enough pile to fill car and then take into new house garage to drop off on way to work, saving hopefully a van?
Find some other things to put on ebay
Check bank again (it lies it lies)
Email a chum to see if can stay in Oct (thus cheaper holiday)
Write ad for spare room at new house, keeping positive about having someone new live with us?!
Look into joining a house/swap exchange scheme?
Try not to spend any money on the way home.
