  • Hi

I was just wondering whether you can freeze these burgers. I saw them the other week in Morrisons but it didn't say on the pack that you could freeze them. If I was to freeze would I cook them slowly from frozen or do you have to defrost them first.

    Many Thanks for any replies

I have just bought lots of the Morrisons deals that I am going to cook in various ways and put in the freezer, should save us a small fortune this month! The woman in Morrisons said she thought they were going to release another batch of 50p offers soon.

Been out this afternoon and passed a Morries on the way back so got 2 lots of potatoes and 4 packs of burgers.
I usually make my own burgers but I cannot make them as cheap as that!
    Didn't see any 50p chicken.

    Help

I have loads of the burgers and I am running out of ideas  . So far I have:
    • Kept some as burgers
    • Meatloaf
    • Meatballs
    • Bolognaise
I also have tonnes of sausages! Guess I got a bit carried away with the 50p deals but it we are hoping to have a cheap month so spent £20 on all the bargains and things to go with them and now I am totally confused as to what to do with them!!!!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Humph !

Came back from holiday and saw this thread and as Morrisons is my normal supermarket thought I'd buy a few packs of the chicken and potatoes ....couldn't find any at all, very disappointed. Got some of the lettuce but didn't think it was a particularly big saving. Saw the burgers and rolls for 50p but didn't buy them, the rolls looked very anaemic and I don't like beef.

The offer wasn't advertised around the store so maybe it has finished now :(
Morrisons are usually pretty good for offers though

For those of you with a glut of sausages...:D

Yesterday I made some sausage rolls with the 50p sausages, a pack of 7p puff pastry mix from Mr T's and a couple of past-their-best apples (any kind would do). I gently stewed the apples and left to cool. Took the sausage meat out of the casings and mushed it up with the cooled apples, and rolled up in the pastry. Very yummy!! As the sausage meat is a little bit bland on it's own (but not too salty like cheap ones can be) I will add a spoon of branston pickle instead of apple to the next ones I make.

Maybe give someone ideas for how to use up all these sausages...;)
