Neither. Start cooking for yourself. At least you know that the foreign objects are just from about your own kitchen. I know its not what you want from an answer but it would make sure this never happens again. Complaining to tesco might get you a new ready meal or a few quid back but it will happen again.0

Just wondered if it had a bubble on the end of it. The type that you squeeze to get all of the air out before slipping it on?
Seriously, ring up Cust Serv who will probably send you a jiffy bag to return it but don't forget how you had to pry it out of your, now traumatised two year old who was choking on it and how it scared you so much that you didn't sleep all that night
And how you tripped over in your haste to get to your little girl and twisted your back so that you are now incapable of doing any work for a week or so.
THAT should help.:)"Unhappiness is not knowing what we want, and killing ourselves to get it."Post Count: 4,111 Thanked 3,111 Times in 1,111 Posts (Actual figures as they once were))Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea.0 -

Harsh but fair......
You see these posts all the time and what the OP means , without saying it, is I WANT COMPENSATION.
Any normal person would not need to ask this question...
Any normal person would just take it back to the store, bring it to the managers attention and received a replacement or refund.
We have now reached a stage in our society where a simple one off error in manufacturing has people traumatised and "demanding action".
I have found a chunk of green gob in a tea of beans. Probably a chav on minimum wage at the processing plant decided to gob in the vat.
Did I cry, no.. My stomach heaved BUT this sort of thing in unavoidable when you pay crappy wages to people who dont give a fig about job satisfaction.
I didnt blame the store, I just took it back - even the managers stomach heaved and he offered me a case of beans as apology, which I declined - but accepted a £5 bribe.
I wont repeat the story about the guy who was caught using a chicken as a ermm play thing.
So thats why my chicken tasted salty.0 -

He replied:

But why would someone need to ask other people whether they should either take it back to the store or ring customer services? I'd personally just take it back. I wouldn't need to ask others what do to. I think although not directly asked the op is hoping for other approval in asking for compensation.0
