Post Office Loophole - £143 Cashback for as little as £15 spend

I phoned them today as my 3rd DD has just gone out. I'd applied and submitted on the 15th August.

Well the PO are saying I'm not getting any cashback as there was a website 'error' - they're claiming the offer ended on the 12th.

As it was only mentioned on the website I have no evidence to back anything up.

They told me they're honouring some of the £100 CBs but mine isn't on the list. Fantastic.

I've submitted a complaint and waiting for a callback.

i would advise any one who has this policy to phone them to make sure your getting it. i just phoned as hadnt heard anything and wanted to confirm i was eligible.
first was told i wasnt as my policy was taken out on the 12 of august, but i said itwas the 7 august, and have the letter here dated that, then he said it was after 12.30 on the 7 when the conditions changed, i said i wasnt as i had the email from you at 8.07 in the morning confirming it! i think they are trying not to pay out unless your really on the ball. god job i kept everything.
he said if that was the case he confirms im eligible for the payment and will be with me in the next 28 days! yippeeee.

I've just phoned them. My 3rd payment came out on the 1st october and the said i should have my £100 by tuesday, if i haven't i've got to phone back on wednesday but they said theres no reason why i shouldn't receive it.

Yes, its a letter with a barcode on it.

Hiya, what info did you need when you rang up? Only asking because I'm up at uni and all my paperwork is down in Devon... They should be able to find me on the system by my name and address without giving my reference number shouldnt they?!

I rang them back when all this kicked off and they confirmed I was eligible and they would honour both sets of my cashback, but like others, other than the paperwork, quidco transaction tracked 2 days before the deadline and the print screen of the original terms and conditions, I have no proof that the lady on the phone confirmed I would receive it! Worrying now lol!

If anyone has the relevant phone number I need, could you post it please? Many thanks! x

The number i rang was 08000965489. They did need my policy number.

I paid my 3rd payment on the 9th October and have just rung the post office to query when my cashback letter would come , this was what i was told .....

Over 1000 people are due the cashback ... After your 3rd payment it takes a minimum of 2 weeks to show up on their system ..... Then up to 28 days for them to send out the letters ( with barcode to exchange in the post office for cash ) ..... They have told me to ring them again to chase it up , if i haven't received the letter by the end of Nov .....

So at the moment it looks like i will have to pay at least one more months direct debit ...... maybe even two ....

So here's hoping that it arrives soon !!

after my phone call with them yesterday (see previous post) the supervisor phoned me this morning to confirm i will have the cashback sent to me after my next payment on 3 november, and the cashback will be here by december, and she will call me to make sure i got it. tho she wont need to cause if i dont have it by then , ill be calling her!! where do we stand if we cancel after the 3 months premiuim paid, are we still entitled to the cashback? we should be shouldnt we as we have done as they have required. 3 months paid, then they will send the cashback after 28 days.?
