Here is the catalogue no:JT2813, I just typed in dalek.

This is on the empire stores website. Good luck, I got mine yesterday!!

    Hi Jeppy
Did you order yours a while ago? I telephoned Empire (placed order on Tuesday) and customer services didnt even have a record of my order (even though I have e-mail confirmation). She said that sometimes when orders are placed over the internet they are a bit slow in processing them!
The website states "within 3 weeks" - is that how long yours took? Managed to pick up a couple of 5" r/c daleks at woolworths (with different frequencies) for £16-99 each so at least I have something, but the bigger 12" ones, or the battlepacks would surely be better? Has anyone else got the woolworths 5" ones?
    Thanks. xx

Whoops!!! Sorry, I was so excited about finding a bargain. I should have know it would have been posted already - think I'll just watch from now on, it's safer on the bench.

No harm done!! Glad you managed to get your bargain - you will see from the other thread on the Grabbit board that some of us not been so lucky! I have been telephoning Tescos stores all over and the assistants are saying that the daleks aren't even making it out of the pallets onto the shelves!! Well done though - a case of being in the right place at the right time! The latest "story" is that they have an "issue" with their suppliers!!!
  • Ordered one from empire at £24.99, couldn't find any code for £15 though but asked the lady and she found me one for £10 off and a welcome pack so I'm happy with that as at £14.99 it's cheaper than Tesco and I can stop phoning them.
It shows a delivery on her screen of 1-2 weeks, no sign of a problem she assured me. All in all I'm very impressed, she was very helpful. Now lets just hope it comes!

Debenhams have the daleks too, big gold ones, in their brochure at £40 I think, if combined with 25% off day on Wednesday it would come down to £30 and you might have it in your hand rather than waiting for a delivery that may not arrive.

    Hope this helps someone.

Sorry if it's been posted before or figs are a bit out, but I'm working from memory, dd has just cut up catalogue to make a picture!

Whilst these look like good fun they are not the same as the large remote control Daleks with the voices.

Also everyone remember if you are going to get two to use together, ie for siblings, you will need to get one that works on 27mhz and one that works on 40mhz or else the controllers will interfere with each other.

After lots of research (hours trying to find them on the web, searching Dr Who fan sites, etc, googling for the manufacturers, etc) - there are two main Daleks out this year -

    1) 12" r/c Dalek, 7 phrases, lights flash when talking, also light-up eye-stalk - RRP £39.99 (but you've spotted some bargains on here) - always seem to be gold. No idea what frequency these operate on, and as far as I know, they are NOT interactive.

    2) Dalek Battle Pack - 2 x 5" daleks, interactive - score five hits against the other and you "deactivate" it - apparently the front comes off and reveals the squidgy thing inside. Also have phrases and sounds, and also the lights on top flash. I've usually seen these listed with poseable Rose or Doctor - which is why they could be so rare, seeing as the ninth doctor had announced he was leaving the show before the packs hit the shops. RRP £29.99

As these are sold as a pair, there should not be any interference problems whatsoever.

Ebay also have a few 5" single packs listed, no idea where these have come from, but show new series packaging - and they are going for silly money.

If you're buying a gift for a Dr Who die-hard, then the way to check if its new season stock is the logo style - its a long eye shape, rather than the diamond, see link:

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/

As far as I know this information is all correct - I have spent the last couple of months searched lots of sites for information, stock and suppliers, and I read on at least one site that the manufacturers, Character Options are now only sending out reduced orders, so some places might not have them for Xmas. No doubt they'll flood the shops in January.

I haven't been successful in obtaining any myself yet - I have three internet orders outstanding - just keep checking the shops, Argos have the codes listed on the internet, but they aren't in the catalogue and staff know nothing about them coming in, so if you can get the codes, keep checking there too, although no special prices at Argos, just RRP.

    Happy Dalek hunting everyone!

5" single dalek ones are selling in woolworths stores for £16-99 each. Again you have to have 2 frequencies (25mhz and 40mhz) - it states on the boxes that you will need 2 different ones otherwise they will interfere. I have these 2, but really wanted the battlepacks (am holding on to these until I have a battlepack in my hands!!).

I am VERY cross with Empire today - I placed an order for the single 12" daleks and have phoned Empire today and they say that items are out of stock now and not expected back in now. I was cross that I had to phone them to find this out - surely they could have sent me an e-mail and I could have got back onto bothering Tescos?? And, would you believe, the Battlepack I ordered has not been ordered at all!! They claim they have no record of my order (even though I have e-mail confirmation that the order has been processed), so I am now at the back of the queue with Empire. I have an internet order outstanding with Kays for the battlepack who are expecting delivery by the 30th November.

Woolworths ones are nice (if you can get hold of them), but the battlepack sounds more fun.

    Good Luck!!
