Tesco Extra on the Kingsway, Dundee had a whole invasion force of them this morning :snow_laug Head in the front door and go straight ahead, past the intersection with the next aisle and they are on the right hand side, plotting world domination :rudolf: They're not in the normal toy section.

    Hope this helps someone :xmassign:

... it was said that Tesco were apparently selling them for £8 less than they bought them in for....

I bet that tactic worked though; how many people also bought a ton of groceries when they got there ?
  • i have been looking at the prices on ebay and they are only going for around £19 now - to think I sold 3 for £215 only a few weeks ago

The "normal" price most places was £39.99, internet, woollies, argos, original price in The Entertainer and Toys R Us .....

I think its earlier in this thread (or the Roboraptor one) it was said that Tesco were apparently selling them for £8 less than they bought them in for....

If it's true that Tesco were using them as a loss leader, this article proves quite interesting:

The Competition Commission has warned this week that supermarkets selling below cost price to generate footfall could face a fine of up to 10 per cent of the company’s annual turnover.

That'd be typical of just my luck - didn't dare risk waiting for one as it really is the only thing my son wants more than anything, and never saw them in any Tesco's near me.

Hi, bought for my kids, opened this morning, two of them not working. One of them doesn't move its head and the other ones pointy sticky out thing fell off immediately and one eye doesn't light up!
I've told them I'll sort it out because Santa needs a rest!!
    Merry Christmas all
  • The one I got for my son is missing the antenna for the remote control. :( Going to call the CS number when they open and ask for them to send the missing part. At least his Roboraptor more than made up for the non-working dalek.

Are you sure? I thought mine was but it is encased in the plastic part of the packaging.
