Hi, I bought a fridge freezer with my Clubcard credit card while there was a double points promotion on. I put in on the 6 months buy now pay later. The pay date is approaching and I was wondering if I could pay the balance with my clubcard plus in order to get the points again if you see what I mean? Does anybody else have any experience of this sort?0

Hi all,
I am wondering if this is happening to other people.....
It took a while for my accou t to update after the last vouchers were sent out but I didn't worry too much as I noticed on this forum that it was happening to others. The points did eventually update but they have never 'caught up'. They're always a week or two behind what they should be and this makes it almost impossible to keep track of how many points should be on there. They don't even update when I shop at tescos - the reciept tells me how many points I have earned but it doesn't update the balance.
Are there others with this problem? If not, what should I do about it?
Thanks,Wins: Sept - Where's Wally T-Shirt!!0 -
I've had a similar situation where my points total on the web has been far less than I expected. But when I've phoned them up, the total they have quoted over the phone is nearer to my estimate and they said that it can take a while for their web site to catch up with updates.0

We tend to be lax about these clubcard points beacause they are freebies - but they are NOT. We pay for them in the price we pay for Tesco products. Tesco is one of the most profitable, if not the most profitable, supermarket in this country.
If they are making it difficult/impossible for us to keep track of the points we earn - then its because it pays them to do so.
Its a blind for customer services to say it takes time for the website points to be updates - it is equally possible for the web page query to fetch information from the same database tables that Customer Services do when we telephone. I earnestly believe these delays and omissions in Points totals are designed to muddy the water and create confusion so that we all give up trying to see if we are being dealt with fairly by Tescos.
We have a national complex about complaining and fighting for what is rightfully ours. A reluctance that big businesses in this country are only too willing to take advantage of. Remember Tesco Clubcard points are NOT free - we pay in full for them when we buy from Tescos. If they can get away with not paying the correct number of points - its more profit in their pockets.
Don't you think its an amazing coincidence that in all the errors and omissions complained of in these pages that the mistakes are all in favour of Tescos????????0 -
Further enquiries has thrown up a couple of points which may be of interest to other Clubcard holders who recycle ink cartridges.:
* The Recycling Companies No is on the envelope (0800 091 0696. Have phoned twice - helpful, friendly and informative staff
* They keep a record of points awarded based on Clubcard number and are happy to provide information about previous points allocation.
* Cartridges submitted other than in Tesco Recycling envelopes are NOT credited. A ruling imposed by Tesco, apparently!
* Any cartridges rejected do not count towards the annual total of 30 per household
* They have 5 or 6 weeks turnaround at the moment (although in my experience it is nearer 4 at the moment)
* The average rejection rate is quite high. Exact details not available but is guessed at as much as a third, but this does include cartridges not on the approved list.
* Cartridges in excess of the 30 limit are still recycled with the £1 going to Muscular Dystrophy rather than the cardholder in points.
I'm now going to turn my attention to the Mobile Phone Recycling Company - 'cos I'm not happy with them either !!!0 -
They've really cut back on instore points lately.0

I have a tesco clubcard and get through the post about every 3months it seem my voucher off (usually about £5 as I live on my own) and the odd few money off vouchers on milk/ peas etc etc
how can get more of these vouchers through?
do i have to sign up to something else? other people seem to be getting loads where as I only get 1 lot every 3 months.
also how do i get more for my vouchers? ie the wine one? do i have to swap a voucher before it gets posted to me and then they send me a higher vlaue one for the wine?
thank you for any help you can offer, tesco club card confusing me slightly but I'll get there in the end.sieze the carp0 -
Hi
The double up scheme has now finished, this is the one where you could get twice as much if you exchanged your vouchers, on departments like wine, childrens clothes etc.
If you sign up for the health club and other clubs you may get other vouchers through. But as standard, you will receive your money off and extra points vouchers once every 3 months like you are now.

Where have all the Extra Clubcard Points gone. There don't seem to be any around at the moment. A few weeks ago they actually had a category in the deals and offers section of the grocery part of Tesco's website but that isn't there either. Are they cutting down on their extra points buys.0
