• My wife is expecting next month so we got a load of baby points vouchers. Strange really cos I had the snip 12 years ago laughing-smiley-014.gif. If you go to the paid to shop website they tell you the non baby items that the vouchers scan with, an example I used was nipple cream extra points that scanned when you bought normal vaseline. As good as this thread is if you want to boost your points also read the Paid to Shop website.
• Hi I was recently given this address by customer services to demerge my clubcard from my husbands.
I am not sure if it the 1 you need but it is worth a try.

Newbie here but what are MSE codes? I`ve been trawling the trolleys for a wee while now, but if I can boost my points further, so much the better!

I understand that you can only recyle 5 phones and 30 ink cartridges per year with tesco recycling schemes to get the green points. My question is - when does a year begin for this recycling purposes. Is it 1st of January? Does anyone know?

I've not quite gathered the idea of the Tesco Clubs ... do you have to make purchases with the coupons/vouchers they send to get the ponts

i.e with Baby/Toddler club you have to purchase baby gear etc and with wine club you have to purchase wine?

If so... neither of the above apply to me... so where do I benefit?

P.S.. I have Tesco Clubcard Plus and also the Credit Card.

Good question- do green points could towards deals the same as normal ones do? I thought the recycling points were just normal ones!
Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!

they are different in how you get them (by recycling and reusing your bags) but they are worth the same as other points and will count towards your tesco voucher at the end of each quarter which you can use for deals.

I got the answer from another board. I thought I'd share here.
the begining of the recycling year for cartrdiges is the date of your first cartridge received, so this will be different to everyone. In order to know this date you need to write and email to info@trf-uk.com with your clubcard number and they will list the dates they received your cartrdiges and how many you have sent them and whether or not any of them failed.

You will then be able to send the rest of your cartridges until you've sent 30 maximum or wait for the next recycling year to recycle 30 more to boost your tesco points :T

I have been using clubcard plus for many years now and it has been great for budgeting monthly food shopping. I specifically asked not to have an overdraft limit and it was moved from the account.
Generally our vouchers are saved up until the end of the year and used to do a big xmas shop. I know this isn't the best MS way to use these vouchers however it works for us!! Last christmas we had £200 in vouchers which as you can imagine came in very handy.

One recent change that is not to the benefit of clubcard plus account holders is the recent change to the computer system which means that the express checkouts & pay at pump no longer recognise these cards as they are now all chip & pin. Pay at pump was very handy as having a baby in the car I was able to fill up & pay at pump much more easily.
• I am really annoyed   !

On Friday I paid my usual £150 in cash onto my Clubcard Plus card via Customer Services at the Tesco store close to where I work. I always credit my Clubacard Plus card on a Friday and usually do it at my local store where it has always been instantly available, but because of one thing and another, I couldn't do it at my local store hence why I had to pay it on at the store near work....

I knew before I made the credit that the balance was almost zero. Anyway I paid the £150 on, bought a few bits and pieces (about a tenner) and paid on CC+, then put £20 diesel in my car and again paid on CC+ and all was hunky dory..... until Saturday.....

I went to my local Tesco and did my weekly shop spending about £115. Handed over my CC+ card and it was rejected   Very embarrassing too!

Went to cash machine to check balance on CC+ card and it said £18 odd overdrawn :confused:

So, had to pay for my shopping on debit card (no double points either) which then left £20 in our bank account. Checked my CC+ balance this morning - still not there

Called TPF and they've advised that it can take up to 2 working days for even cash deposits to clear  and that doesn't include Friday   so apparantly I need to wait until Wednesday at the latest - meanwhile I've got no dosh left can't take the kids out today as promised so they're gutted too! And, unless it's there tomorrow we'll be stuck then too!

So be warned - if you pay cash at the Customer Service desk onto your CC+ card - it might not be available for a couple of days.
