The kind lady at the other end did mention there would be a credit check though.

There shouldn't be a credit check - unless you request an overdraft on your Clubcard Plus.
  • hi i was hoping some of you might help.
i am trying to save enough clubcard points to pay for a butlins hol next summer for me my oh and my son who will be 16 by then so classed as an adult. i have to take hols during school hols as i work in a school kitchen and im not allowed to take time off in term time  . so we end up not being able to get any good deals. iv worked out that we need £261  in vouchers to cover cost of hol. iv only got £13 plus i think another £15 due in august statement. iv tried using codes from MSE but none would work for me. iv also sent off for aplication for clubcard plus. anyone know anyway i can increase my points more. any help much appreciated :D

Clubcard Plus will help - also (and a bit more drastic) there's Tesco Homephone, Broadband, Gas & Electricity, Insurances etc all which offer points though they may not always be the cheapest so do check.

Join their clubs i.e. wine club etc to get extra points vouchers.

All details for the above will be on their website.

Any shopping you do on the Tesco website will earn points if you register on the site so you could earn points for books, cd's, dvd's, games etc.

I've also found getting my petrol at Tesco helps to bump the points up a bit!

    Good luck!

Not sure about anyone else, but I was really disappointed with the last healthy living mailout - only one coupon with bonus points on, for some obscure pots of beans - the rest were 20p off veg, fruit etc., instead of the usual bonus points - boo!
  • hi im registered with online shopping iv joined all the clubs except baby club my sons 15 so dont think he would appreciate me buying him nappies to get extra points:rotfl: i was thinking about gas and electric but cant do a price comparison at min because of price hikes and dont want to end up paying more for energy than points are worth. and because of where we live we cant get signal to use tesco mobile have to use orange  .might check out homephone though at min im with talk talk and get nectar points but cant use them against hol
