I have spent a day lookking at cosmos holidays online. phoned up and the prices are even more than advertsied (even after ignoring the online discount)
anyway I have been quoted a price which means I will pay cahs deposit of £495 and rest in vouchers...lady saying pay now, then convert points and send vouchers by special delivery
I said what if Mr T are slow she said as long as I contact them to let them know thats fine...
does that sound ok to you experts?
thanks
I used my vouchers a couple of years ago with Cosmos, I paid up front total cost and had the voucher amount refunded when I sent them .However my sis has sent for vouchers for a Virgin holiday and the vouchers took over 2 weeks to come even though she had an e-mail from Tesco immediately to say she would have them within 5 days. So you have to be careful0 -
how do you sell your points - they are clubcard specific aren#t they?
I also thought about this, I mean how can people do it and I think that they go shopping and DON'T use the card - then they sell the receipt and the buyer goes back to Tesco and has the points credited to their clubcard??
That is the only thing that makes sense.
And then I think the restaurant vouchers can ve sold - I've never been asked to prove that I am Mrs X!!0 -

Just looked at Ebay and there are all sorts - people sell their bonus vouchers that you get in your mailings - I thought they are clubcard specific but obviously not, or you can buy empty cartridges to then send to Tesco and get points for recycling.. Or buy unregistered card with points already on it..0 -

I booked with Siblu and was told that there was a 2 week initial deadline and as long as you keep them informed of any delay they were happy. Ours arrived at Siblu 1 day after the 14 days, we didn't tell them and it went through fine. I think the holiday firms, bearing in mind they just want our business, are happy as long as you keep them informed.
Incidentally, sorry if this has been mentioned before, but if anybody is worried about clubcard (not deals) vouchers going out of date, change them to deals vouchers which last 6 months, then return them to Tesco unused and they will be re-credited to your account, thus starting the clock ticking on them again.0 -
Having just converted Tesco points to around £800.00 in holiday vouchers I have found almost exactly the same holiday about £800.00 cheaper than Cosmos price with another holiday company!
I have previously taken holidays with Cosmos before Tesco imposed the £400.00 per person limit on vouchers. I think this is an absolutely disgusting ploy by Tesco and Cosmos to dupe customers into saving hard to collect Clubcard vouchers to "save" on an annual holiday when in fact ALL the savings are in fact wiped out by Cosmos inflating the prices in the first place.0 -

.
You need to look closely at the holiday deals, to see what you can get them for before using your club card vouchers. Virgin holidays you can usually get 5 - 10% off without using your clubcard vouchers, just depends how many you've got and how you got them. If I was you I would return them and get them reinstated.
There are lots of other good deals, such as using them for restaurants or days out, but even some of these you can get deals for without using clubcard vouchers.:rotfl:0 -
oh no i didnt realise they now got a £400 min limit on cosmos, it only a good deal if you can pay for all or most of the holiday0

I have just booked my Easter holiday for less than £1100.00. The price with Cosmos was £1111.00 AFTER deducting £800.00 of Tesco Clubcard vouchers! I am now looking for alternative ways to spend my Clubcard vouchers as Cosmos are obviously very poor value for money. I expect that Cosmos will soon be leaving the Tesco Clubcard scheme as they are no longer able to offer competitive holidays. I would strongly advise anyone considering using Tesco Clubcard vouchers for a holiday to shop around and compare prices before booking with Cosmos!0
