Hi everyone,
Just wanted to mention something that happened to my daughter last week.
She rang Tesco Customer Services to add back some of her clubcard vouchers that would be going out of date and was told by customer services that she didn't need to do it as they would be honoured anyway, even if they were out of date. She asked me if I'd heard this, which I hadn't, and doubted that it was correct and suggested she ring them again. Customer Services confirmed that it was indeed wrong, put the vouchers back on her club card and apologised. She had a letter apologising again and said they would make sure all their advisers were aware of the correct procedure.
I just wanted you all to know in case it happens to you....the vouchers must be put back onto your card if they are going out of date or have just gone out of date no matter what an idiot at Tesco tells you . :rolleyes:moneysaving wannabe0 -

hello everyone.
well its the wee hours of the morning and as usual i cant sleep , and i stumbled on this website and started to read about all these saving tips you guys have !!
although i kinda get them in thery , i have no idea how to put them into practice?? ....
i have a standard tesco club card and get the 1 point for every £1 spent , but i did not realise (nor understand how to do) these amazing extra points. your help and experiences really would be so greatly appreciated as i have been poorly and unable to work for a while now and my husband has just lost his job and we also have 3 children under 6 !! so any money saving offers or extra points for things would be fantastic. we cant afford days out and luxury stuff at all at the moment and i am sure i read somewhere in a post that somehow you can get money off days out and stuff ?? and extra points or money off on baby items and stuff ??
i have heard of the tesco baby club and i think i filled in a membership years ago , but i dont think i have eve used it or ealised any of this. any help would be massively appreciated !! thanks everyone.

I, too, have been up all night and know others will have loads of good ideas and pointers to other Threads you need to get your self over to.
Sounds as if things are very tough, angel, so what about looking on the Debtfree Wannabe forums -whether or not this situ fits, you'll still find inspiration, friends, help and fellow feeling there and all over this wonderful site, begun by Martin 6 years ago..
Look on the old-style moneysaving Threads for shopping hints, cost cutbacks on ordinary household products, ways to save in every aspect of your lives.
Tesco's Clubcard Plus is the one to aim for - but I think I've read that they're not offering it just at the moment, while times and money are tight generally. It looks/acts like your Clubcard, but is green and gives MORE extra points on every £ spent. Martin has articles praising it and there are Threads about - I know, because I've posted there. Tesco keep quiet about it, so you do have to ring and ask for an Appn form. Do not be confused by the Credit Cards that Tesco offer - unless you are very certain of paying it off each month, it is not wise to start down that road and the points ratio is not the best, contrary to their claim.
Join every single Tesco Club going and receive mailshots with money off/points offers. You will also receive quarterly vouchers, which you must never use in the shop, but convert to vouchers for those days out and much else besides.
Next, put Mr T's number in your head and your mobile - 0800 -505555.
When you're next in mr T, stop at the Customer Service desk before you start shopping and read the big blue notice board. Near the bottom, a sentence starts ' In the unlikely event that things don't add up...' This is the one dear to all our hearts. Make a note of your prices as you go round and compare them with your receipt. If you've been overcharged, or a BOGOF has not worked - any sort of discrepancy which costs you - Tesco promise to give you Double the Difference. It is a skill you'll quickly learn and use instinctively.
That's more than enough to be going on with, but Welcome - and be aware that this isn't even a nano-second's worth of all the advice and encouragement you'll find here.
Bonne courage.
I need to stop now - more or less time to kickstart the day again:eek:.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Points are coming early!!

If this is true then Tesco have not yet updated their website, which still says points collected up to 25/1 will be sent out in Feb.
If they are going to send them out early I hope that it will be an 'interim' payment, followed by the normal February statement and that we're not then going to have to wait until May for the next lot! :mad:2.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07
