My Girlfriend has her heart set on a new Smart car or 07 plate at least. Does anyone here drive one and good any good bad things to say about them?

I've just bought on 3 weeks ago!! And I love it!!
Mine is only a 51 plate, but its great!!
Its drives really well, and is actually quite nippy!!
And best of all only cost £15 to fill it up!!

I'd like to have one, but I think they are a bit expensive, and why do they still refuse to bring the diesel to the UK, to get band 'A'.

I'd like one, amongst other reasons, it would (probably) be able to turn a 90° corner in our back alleyway behind our house, so I could park off road in the back garden, I once managed to squeeze a VW polo 'estate' (81 - 91 shape) round that corner, but it was hard work and no way could I then get into the garden. I think a smart could do both with very little effort.

On the plus side, it's really small, so it's easy to park.
On the down side, it's really small, so you can't get much in it.

    :D
If you lend someone a tenner and never see them again, it was probably worth it.

My daughter bought a 54 plate about a month ago. I love it and so does she. There was enough room to put the weeks shopping in for a family of 4 with room to spare. Very cheap on petrol too. When my 16 year old gets her own car I`ll be tempted to get one of my own. In the meantime I`m borrowing my daughters for short journeys as petrol much cheaper than my A class.

My suster used to have one when they first launched them. It was good and surprisinglt spacious for the size of the car. She actually got a Lawn Mower in hers once and still managed to drive it. The transmission was a bit jerky though.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die

It's due this year, but like the old one it's an underpowered pile of rubbish.

Owned two and if daughter hadn't arrived we would still have one.

Our Aygo is better on petrol, but our smart was tweaked!
