Well done on clearing a debt and attitude to keeping it that way Mizmir :T

I look forward to hearing the progress on the next one :D

Mizmir what an amazing amount of money to have paid off, well done! I have been following your diary and have been impressed and inspired by your progress (thank you)

I wish you luck with your next card, although I wouldn't be surprised if you paid that off earlier than you are anticipating.

Thanks. The payment is not as impressive as it seems as the debts went up by a similar amount due to work expenses - this is just getting me back to where I should be! But am determined to work on the next one with as much as I can muster! To pay it a month early, I'll need an extra £1K. So will aim for paying £10 a day extra off the card to balance the £10 a day challenge - and that - together with scheduled payments - should bring me in well before Christmas!

Made a £5.00 payment today instead of the £1.00 I said, have decided to take the kids to the park with a pack lunch rather than get them a Macdonalds!!! how good am I ? LOL ....Now thats money saving....

Well done Redkelly - that's the way to do it!!!

I'm doing the same sort of thing, if we HAVE to go to McD's I only have a happy meal and save the difference - am without a kitchen at the mo and with kids being on holiday feeding them is difficult
Hoping to stick to the challenge this year!!

  • Hi, please may I join in with this thread?!

I have been reading through for the past few days and I think everyone is doing really well!

At the start of the year I owed about £3500 in various CC, store cards, overdrafts etc and now I owe £1301.
I owed my mum £4500, but now I only owe her £1850.

So in total I want to shift £3151 asap!!!

I have paid £74.36 to my OD today and hopefully that will be one of the first debts I clear in about a months time!

Keep up the good work everyone! x
  • Just sorting my sig out so I can keep myself motivated!
