Hi, I would like to join this challenge if I may. Wanted to join a while ago but in the process of still trying to clear the ghastly 19.5% OD. However I think I have found a way around it! We currently have 5 or 6 different online accounts & what we do is put any extra money we earn into two overflow accounts, the idea being to use the money from them if we go over monthly budget, rather than dip into overdraft again. So from the second overflow account we will now make a payment each day to our overdraft & the way we will do it is round our overdraft total down to the nearest £10 IYKWIM, so today our overdraft stood at £1,753.78 & we have paid off £3.78 to round it up to £1,750. Hope this all makes sense! Do you include normal payments to your debts or just extra payments?Debt at LBM(July 1st 07)-£35,053.92 Debt on 1st Anniversary of LBM(July 1st 08)-£33,170.11 (31st January 09)-£32,318.73Paid off so far £2,735.19(7.8%) Average paid off p.m. £143.95 L/H supporter 115 DFD target February 2018 DFD March 2028. Hi All
I’ve just been reading through the thread and think this is an excellent idea! So, before I can back out, I’m committing myself to making a payment a day (which in reality will probably be a weekly transfer).
My OH and I allow ourselves £10pw ‘pocket money’ each, so I’m going to aim to have as many NSDs as possible and then transfer what’s left from my money at the end of each week.
I haven’t totalled up all the debt yet…argh!...but will make a start on my Egg card which is currently £3,057.93 – right, have just paid off the odd £7.93, ooh, that feels better already!

Hello Fresian - thanks for the Welcome! You're absolutely right, I logged off to have lunch, and here I am, back again! It's good to know that there's such a supportive (and challenging!) place to come!

Hiya everyone, i've been away for a while trying to sort out my finances. Think i've just about gt me head round how little money i have.
Got some money for xmas so i'll be adding that to my stash to go towards my cc. Think i've got about £40ish quid extra to pay to my cc now. I'll be paying that either tomoro (if i have time) or on wed morning.
Ooohhh. I've just remembered its pay day on the 31st, not that i'll get v much - i've had 2wks off sick last month, but i should be able to get myself back on track with pad next week.
Hope you all had a lovely xmas and have a good new year, catch up with you next week.£387.39/£196.46
