Evening all,
Really mixed bag for me at the minute.....sorry if this is long just wanna get it off my chest and i know you guys will listen:)
Have been away with work, now very glad to be home! have managed 2 NSD which I'm really happy with. Finaly got expenses paid so made big payments today - £100 to O/D and £200 to CC which is fab but also found out today that I didn't get the promotion I wanted, not sure if I really believed I would or not but am more disappointed than I expected (if that makes sense!)
But hey ho tomorrow is a new day.
Hope everyone is surviving the rubbish weather.New surname New start!

I know, I know, but it's the really sexy collectors edition and I ordered it before I decided to get my finances in order and I have been really good this month and...oh, enough excuses, I'm a geek and I want a collectors edition :rotfl::rotfl:
It's FREEZING hereand there are blizzards forecast overnight. It took me ten minutes to walk from the bus-stop tonight (It's at the end of my street!) because they don't grit the pavements and I was skating home
I have joined Quidco today to try and earn some cashback, and once I get back from my trip away I will be putting things on Ebay and sending t'other half to the Post Office regularly! That should take care of the geekspend
Enjoy the rest of your evening all!0 -

Sorry to hear that you never got the promotion that you wanted ...... bit of a " bummer " when things don't work out the way we hoped they would.....
On the positive side though you've had 2 NSD .... Which is easier said than done so Well Done......
Also I bet you feel better now that your expenses have been paid enabling you to pay money off your overdraft and credit card ....
Anyway keep smiling......
If all else fails, I find that choccy and wine cures all......
..... !

Sorry you didn't get your promotion but if you can, try and get some feedback - constructive feedback - that you can squirrel the knowledge away for the next one that comes along. Sometimes they'll say that you need more experience in a certain area or that you didn't come across strongly in a certain way during the interview - both things that you can work on before the next opportunity. Sometimes they talk a lot of drivel but it shows commitment that you asked so it's always worth a try.
Obviously wait until the effects of the wine have worn off before you ask!
I think you seem to be handling it well despite the obvious initial knockback.

FAL - the mystery shop windfall was for a job that I did yonks ago but they messed the payment up. I knew that it would get sorted eventually but just didn't expect to go into my account and find it there. Nice surprise.
You're so good remember who said what - I'm always nodding my way through the posts and thinking 'oh that's good' or 'oh dear' and then completely forget when I get to posting who did what or whatever. I do worry about the lack of retention my brain has these days.LD 12.25 £1600.00/£0700.00 Fn £274.00 LTFn £525 LLTFn £300
