Thanks Fag_ash_lil for your support if I do succeed in the challenge it will be because there are no rainy days next year as they are definitely not factored into the equation (I do have a worry about my car it has done 127K can't expect it to last for ever and with all our kids we need a big one)

What the hell I will face that bridge when it comes;)

Hello all! Paid £4 to evil loan. Have been selling my Usborne books today. I haven't put all my orders in yet, but should be able to add some commission to PaD.

Keep getting distracted by X factor and then it will be the Jungle :D
One step at a time ;)
  • evening all!

hello to all newbies & well done to everyone for lots of good news today. i second the vote for GHDs - yes they are expensive but sooooo worth it for anyone with a frizz issue. even the fog didn't manage to turn me back into a 70s throwback today!

so another pound into savings for me today. had a lovely shop & day/lunch/drinks out with friends and was fairly restrained with my shopping. i treated myself to some thermal socks from primark and bought our christmas decoration for the year (we buy one new thing every year) - a little train on a circular track to go round the bottom of the tree. very cute, plays music, kids will love it. and bought a scarf and hat for DS1.

ebay items end tomorrow, still waiting for quidco to hit the bank account. hope you don't feel too poorly from the nutella, terri - enjoy a brill night of telly! x
Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

I would love to do a payment a day but when there is a chance that I may be unemployed for god knows how long come 6 months time, I'm really worried. Got to save my left over money in the bank each month

I'm reading this thread wishing I could do it too.

I know how you feel. I lost my job 6 months ago and have been really struggling to find something else! I do recommend this PAD though, it is fantastic when your statement comes through and you see how all those small amounts add up. xxx
Competition wins in 2009 - Nothing so far

    :hello:Hi!

Thanks for wishing me luck, I'm full of enthusiasm now, but it will get harder I'm sure!! I have dedicated a pot for the days when I can only pay pennies, and that will go towards my overdraft not my Barclaycard when it's full.

I've also joined the Sealed Pot Challenge for next year with the hope of paying for Christmas with it in 2009 as I always seem to end up putting something on my credit card at Christmas.

Anyway, today I am paying £28.53 to one card (Urgh, but it does clear it back to zero as it's my "occasional expenses before payday" card and I always clear it!) and £7.99 to the dreaded Barclaycard which totals £36.52 for today.

As it's St Andrews Day up here in the Frozen North (And it's bloomin cold this morning!) Edinburgh Zoo is free and I'm off there this morning for a nice cheap day out! :rudolf:

Have a lovely Sunday all :D

  • Morning gang.

Was feeling rather bold so I doubled my usual contributions:

    £2 to ISA.
    £2 to Flexiloan.

Now for the most exciting part of my day: updating my sig! :p
