  • hi everyone,

what a great thread! i actually started yesterday but didn't get round to posting, little one (DS2) was home with sickness bug.

i'm going to save a bit each day - only debt at present is the mortgage but we are going to my mum and dad's in america next summer so need to start putting away spends. also need to build up our "what if" bank account - given the times, i don't think anyone's job is totally safe. i have been an mse user for a while now & picked up loads of ways to spend less - but still not so hot on the saving, which is where this thread will really motivate me.

so i put 7.16 pounds in savings yesterday and will add a pound today (this laptop only has a $, i bought it in the us to save money hence the longhand!)

Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

Hi all, lots of newbies again today - good luck to you all - you have been warned that this is highly addictive!!

I seem to be concentrating my efforts on the HSBC CC at the moment as i really want it below £2500 by the new year - so another £3.68 paid for me today. Need to clear nearly £300 to get to my goal - not so sure that will happen

  • £1.00 for me today. Am so looking forward to end of Dec when I not only get two months money but a tax rebate too! but for now things are tighter than a gnats ar.e. But, and it's a big but. I'm going to muddle through without using the c.cs so well done me!
