Don't have anything to put in the pot today :(

But I shall not be too disheartened, I shall scour the house and sofas today and see if I can find some pennies :D

  • Hi everyone

I've been following this thread but first time post.

I'm sort of doing this challange, but trying to do it with money I would have normally spent/ have earned on surveys etc - sort of £10/say challenge but not.

I am not "in debt" on credit cards etc - but have a debt to my ISA which I used to clear debts - this is supposed to be my kids uni fund so need to get money back into it - will need to start paying out in 2 years

SO far I have repaid £70.25 this week - this being budget savings made. todays payment i need to work out - there should be some excess in bills account as it is payday on saturday. Also have a sealed tin that will be eptied shortly, all my loose change and £2 coins so that should be £100 ish

Hope you don't mind me posting on this thread, but can't find another challenge I slot in with and don't want a diary, cos I'm not interesting enough :o:p :rotfl:
Hoping to stick to the challenge this year!!

I'm new too! Love the sound of this can I join too please! Am already struggling this month so its going to be tiny amounts til payday and September is full of wedding and birthdays speechless-smiley-040.gif expensive month! so I need something to motivate me and keep me on track!

Ideally I would choose my overdraft to attack with this but I cant change it on a daily basis so its gonna have to be the mint card with a balance of around £1250.00 its gonna take a while (used it for driving lessons and still havent passed my test :rolleyes2 ) but still as you say every little helps!
  • Resisted the temptation to go to McDonalds when I went food shopping, so spent the £5 on the credit card instead.

I set up a spreadsheet yesterday with all my debts and savings etc., to forecast when the debts could/will end. This helped me feel even more motivated by the payment a day challenge. I am getting a strange buzz from making a payment every day. Cannot wait to see my credit card statment.

  • So have I got this right, I could join this thread by checking the bank daily on line and maybe transferring the odds say the 2.16 or 3.75 from one account to my savings, I like it
