Am getting organised!
Have decided to do a personal SOA so I can see for myself what goes where, then try and cut down my costs even more and try and free up some more money!
Am also going to re-do my weekly spending diary and plan my monies for the next month!
Have just wrapped all kids gifts for christmas (yes I know I'm early!). I am chuffed that I have been buying cheaper gifts than usual for everyone (incl.family) and have budgeted enough over the past few months. It's nice not to be borrowing on CC's this year.
Am also having a 'winter clean' (!) and getting my house de-junked/cleaned/tidied and ready for the festive period! (Obviously I will clean the house again before christmas!) I just wanted to be able to get on top of things financially, mentally and around the home.
Well done on everyone's money saving and debt-clearing! Every little helps! x0 -
Hi All
I have just done my sums and I have worked out that I can start contributing to this challenge again - I had to stop a few weeks ago when my monthly income suffered a cut (won't bore you with the details!). I have worked out that I can just about afford to start making small extra payments daily - the current priority is the Egg card.
While I was about it I discovered that there were some mistakes on the spreadsheets I used to keep a track of my extra payments and I have actually paid more off than I thought I had - £155.82 so far (instead of £131+ something pence). So I am really quite pleased!
Hopefully, once OH puts his hand in his pocket and starts contributing a bit more to the family finances I should be able to afford a bit more.
Bye all!PigginSkint's debt free diary

Hiya
Hope you're all ok. I'm going to pay £2 off later today. I've bought my children a Wii between them for Christmas. Think I got a good deal as it came with a free game that DD really likes so.....i'm now making payments back to the current account to pay back the money I used to pay for the Wii - think that makes sense!!!
Once i've paid then wii money back it'll be all hands on deck for paying off the interest free card again. Mind you, i've now made enough payments to only need to pay £460 off it a month and it'll be clear before it does back to interest. At the moment we've allowed £400 of DH's wage to it a month without extra payments so at least we should be able to clear it now with no problems. Famous last words!!
Hope you all have a good week xx0
