  • Hi everyone

Lovely sunny day here to day.

Had a slight hiccup earlier today as DS(3yr) posted Sky Card into DS(17yr) Playstation 3 last time he did it only last June cost me £199 for replacement:eek: but my wonderful friend Rob:beer: managed to get it out and fix the machine which was making horrible noises and refusing to take any discs. Thought my PAD would have to stop but all is well.

Will have to convince my DS to move Playstation or pay for insurance to cover accidents like this £5 a month:rolleyes:

Anyway made payment of £10.02 to HSBC CC to round off account thought I had rounded it off yesterday but obviously my maths was out:rolleyes:

Can't wait until end of month for payday they only come every 3 months going to make a big payment off CCs.:j

    Love Mandy xx

i am just going to put £1 in my pot today. i have been adding to it throughout the week - do you just take all the coins to the bank to pay off your card??

do they need to be in the little bags or can you just take a mixture of coins?

i usually put them in the coin star machine but they take 7%

Just take it as it is. When I paid in my last lot of payment a day, I gave the bank a £20 note & £15.+ in change :p , I was so chuffed as this way my first payment this way. So far I have got £3.01 for next month's payment, must try harder...............

If you don't fancy counting it all out then you could at least sort the bronze from the silver and/or into separate bags for 10ps etc. My main bank (nat west) has a machine that can take it all jumbled up and do it for you but some only have those that can weigh it to work it out. If its HSBC do look out for a 'coinsorter' type machine in the corner that doesn't take any commission from you. They tend to be in the bit where you actually pay money into a live person rather than where all the machines are.

I found one in Edinburgh the other day - so that makes two with the one in Carlisle. I'm off to London next week and wonder if I'll be able to resist visiting HSBC branches to see if I can find anymore. I really do need more excitement in my life!

Target 1 = Cap 1 card (Called them yesterday to find out what the interest rate was ... 30.09 %!!!)

Day one = 37p in 5ps and coppers in a pot. I got paid on Friday and transferred £40 (£1.10 over the minimum payment).
  • Hiya guys,
£1.00 in pot and £1.00 into savings today, moved money from currant to savings account as well, which will make me more money until I have to move it back to pay another bill, doing this on a regular basis now and have made quite a bit this way and leave the extra interest to compound, it feels really good to see it grow for vertually nothing:j

  • Morning everyone

Been up since 4am with a teething toddler, so have had to endure 'In the Night Garden DVD!' - Did my Tesco online shopping and it only came to £62 instead of the £75 I had budgeted for, so added the extra £13 to my savings account (I know the advice is not to save, but it makes me feel better knowing I have a 'backup' just in case)

So today I have paid £10 to Catalogue, £10 to Next and £20.45 to capital one (Looked after a friends little girl on Friday while she was at work, so she gave me some money for that)

Blu2u - your lucky, the rate on my Cap 1 card is 34.9% - nearly died when I saw it!

Have a great day everyone xxx
