Miss_314 - you are doing a sterling job, what a shame other family members haven't helped. I think the key is not to feel you've failed if your mom doesn't sort herself out. There's only so much you can do. I admire you for not giving up. You're a credit to yourself and your mom. Hugs from me too x

£5 to evil loan, £1.50 to overdraft. £2 to savings.

Payday soon - i have some backpay due, so will use this to make sure all the monthly bills and electricity is paid up. I actually think i'm heading for a Christmas where i won't be stressing about surviving :j

    Tashja - it's the 1st thing i think about too! :D

    Hi again

Done all the bits I need too and over-estimated the money I needed.

I sat down and budgeted and managed to get an extra £15 to go in to savings - I then did the shop which I had budgeted £100 for (inc. party dresses for DD's) and, with the help of a meal plan the shop only came in at £50-odd pounds.

After a discussion with DH we decided we quite like having savings so we transfered over the remaining money that we didn't need.

Savings now stands at £66.78 - that is money that we would have wasted on !!!! that we don't need :( Instead it is in a savings account, nice and safe ready for a rainy day.

Thank you everyone on this thread for inspiring me to save my payment day and all the odds and ends from my account :)

    T xx

Afternoon all. Had to make my minimum payment for CC1 today so overpaid by £5 at the same time.

Having one of those days about debt today, feels like im fighting a losing battle. I think its because i know that the next statement will be due within the next few days and they will add all that interest on.

Waiting to get my experian credit report to see if it would be worth me trying to apply for a 0% balance transfer. I hope the credit report isnt too bad!! If i could get a 0% card im sure i would feel much better!
