  • Not going too well on the CC paying front. I have had to pay my car insurance which is the same amount as I usually pay off my CC every month so it won't be going down much this month. Although, at least it won't be going up as I took my insurance payment straight from my current account.

Nothing paid off today as have a couple of extra things to pay for and need to work out my budget. £10.26 paid yesterday though.

£4.94 for me today. It's the most I've paid for ages, been sticking to £1 a day so far as it's all I can afford. But even already I've got £23.94 to go towards my loan, thats £10 more than my payment a month which i'll still be paying aswell. :)

  • Anyone else been experiencing guilt over buying things? I have really (naturally)curly hair and so always buy expensive shampoo/conditioner to try and keep it under control, but yesterday when I went to Boots to buy it, all I could think was - 'I could pay £9 off my debts instead of buying this' - I did buy it otherwise my life would be hell, but I felt really bad about it!

It is my only indulgance though - have cut back on everything else, including my magazine habit which used to cost me over £20 a week!

I am in the EXACT same position! My hair is v v thick and wavy/curly. I always feel bad for buyg Frizz-Ease in Boots! Iv actually started using Pantene Smooth and Sleek lately. I think its just as good tbh, and I just use some frizz-Ease serum afterwards and I cant tell the difference. :rotfl:

YEY!! Got my Argos card statement today! My balance was £2.90 ages ago, and I paid it with online banking. They said they hadnt got it! so I printed off my bank statement and sent it to them. Got a letter this morning saying my balance was ZERO!!!! YEY!!! :rotfl:
<goes off to cut up Argos card!>

So, paid £1.50 to evil loan, £15 to cap 1 and some towards my water bill. Rest will go towards bigger monthly bill i need to pay. There is someone up there looking after me ;)

Well done everyone....we're all doing really well and it's brilliant to think of all the interest we're not giving to CCs, loans etc.

I've just had my credit card statement and for the first time ever there are three additional payments on it rather than just the minimum!!!

For today's payment I need to go and trawl through pockets and change pigs to see if i've got anything to make up to a pound. I'll let you know xx
  • £5 today to my outstanding amount on my British Gas bill, ignoring Barclaycard at the moment as they have upset me so only going to make minimum payments. £288 on British Gas so want to get that cleared so I can go back to quartely bills which wont be so scary as cutting back on all electrity.
