    Hiya

Been lurking for a bit and never posted as not sure was brave enough to start facing my debts but have managed to pay off £5 from my cc in the last 3 days as well as saving a little bit too and I must say that even these small changes have made me feel a lot more positive and in control :T .

To help me with my saving I picked up a savings bank from boots (one of the 3 for 2 things and I used my savings vouchers so I don't feel guilty!) and it is fab. It is like an atm machine which gives you your own atm card, allows you to set your own pin number and target and counts up all your deposits so you know exactly how much you have in it! So I am going to try and save £150 by the end of Feb next year.

Yay, you lot really are so inspiring! Will stop waffling now.

  • Hope everyone is okay today xxx

Nothing for me today as I have no money :( until payday tomorrow :), so will make an extra big payment tomorrow.

Really not feeling great today, feel like my debts are getting on top of me, though I am trying my hardest to deal with them. Think it all comes down to being really tired - Madam must be going through a growth spurt as she has been feeding so much over the last 24 hours!

  • Hello everybody, hope you are all well. I'm feeling really pleased with the payment a day thingy, it's such a simple idea that works really well. I've been to the bank today to pay £35.07 to my Tesco cc debt, I gave the cashier a new, crisp £20 note, and then £15.07 from my savings birdy, all in change! Bless her, she didn't bat an eyelid and just counted it all out. So instead of my old payment of £12 a month, I'm aiming to pay £35 if I can, but £15 must be from payment a day. IYKWIM :p

Now I'm completely broke but hey, I really enjoyed my first monthly payment a day challenge - onwards and upwards troops!!

Had to come back and share - i've paid my gas bill at last. It seemed to take a long time! Need to prioritise gas / electricity more as i always seem to pay at the very last minute.

Paid £3 to another debt to round it down. It's great to see the figures reducing all the time.
One step at a time ;)
  • I haven't posted for a while, but I've been making my payments every day and managed to clear my Next account balance yesterday! :D

It was a small debt but it had been hanging around for ages and at the rate I was paying, it would have taken about 7 or 8 months to clear. Thanks to A Payment A Day it's gone in just over 2 months, and even then I only paid small amounts each day to chip away at it. Money I didn't even miss.

So thank you once again to Emily and all the other Payment A Day-ers. Now to include another debt on my Payment A Day plan! :)
