Bigbeff, I had the same thing with the payments appearing to come off the minimum payment. A&L (mbna) took the minimum payment that it had stated was due (£101)on the last statement even though the online version said zero.

This month my minimum payment is £87 but already my daily payments appear to be taking it down, but they're not. The daily payments are still extra to the minimum amount.

Hope this makes sense, it looks like a load of waffle to me :rotfl:

I am waiting for the new cc statement to arrive this week - it will be the first one since I started this challenge.

The cc account is not available to pay online so I am interested to see what has happened to the balance. One problem I have is I have to pay using telephone banking and if I try to pay more than a couple of times a week the bank computer voice tells me I have already paid this bill and can't pay again yet

Good luck for the week ahead :)
Smoke free since 16th December 2012

Thanks Piquant! I think this makes sense - they should still take my min payment like the statement says! Its just online stuff making it look odd! :rotfl:

I've done the usual £1 to OH 'phone and savings. Have logged onto emails to find i've sold a book on ebay! It must have been last minute as i'd given up. Have got some more to put on now, so hopefully a few more £s to take off something.

Redkelly, i think i'm going to follow suit with the savings account via Quidco. It's the only sort of account i can get accepted for! :o
One step at a time ;)

  • Hi all, going to save £2 coins like a few of you are doing - I seem to be getting lots these days! It'll be great to open it when it's full and pay for something!

Can't pay for anything today - my account has only got a penny in from now until thursday, so I have to make things last! However on thursday I can get back to paying things...*fingers drumming on the table*...*is impatient*...!

I have bought a cheap notebook and have started to write down everything that comes in and out of my account and I am about 1-2 months ahead of myself now!!!
I simply write the w/c date and then monies in. Then I write what needs to come out - eg.shopping, bus travel, water bill, debt etc. I'm finding if you sit down and do this with a calculator it really helps and I feel more on top of everything.
    I hope this helps! x
